Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 439 Set Effect

"I'm the first…" Shane muttered with a smile after seeing the notification.

Of course, he knew that this Zombie wasn't the Lord-Tier who owned this dungeon, but killing a 'king' Zombie was quite incredible.

'I should probably share this in the chat.' Shane thought to himself, as he was always the one benefitting from the chat when gathering information. He believed that he should also share information to everyone else.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Though he wasn't as active as Travis, giving valuable information from time to time should be more than enough.

Anyway, he looked at the message and read the first kill reward he obtained.

[ You have eliminated an Earth King Zombie. ]

[ Congratulations! You are the first to eliminate an Earth King Zombie, a special-tier zombie! ]

[ Hint: Only the first elimination of each Mid-Tier and above can provide special rewards! ]

[ You have obtained the following rewards: Spirit Breakthrough Potion x5, Instant Experience Boost Potions x5, Zombie Cores x800, Skill Fusion Scroll x2 ]

Soon, the Earth Zombie crumbled as dust and stones fell to the floor.

"Perfect… I got two more of them…" Shane muttered after seeing the two scrolls. He was actually considering purchasing the overpriced Skill Fusion Scroll in the market.

Although it wouldn't hurt his pocket if he decided to buy a couple of them, it would surely affect his savings if he tried getting more of them.

Anyway, he immediately looted the Zombie after this.

[ You have earned 150 Experience Points. ]

[ You have earned 3 Reputation Points. ]

[ You have obtained the following rewards: Item Upgrade Crystal x10, Zombie Cores x10, Unknown Meat ( Safe ) x20, Unknown Meat ( Unsafe ) x10, Zombie Cores x500, Earth Zombie Core x10, 100mL of Earth King's Blood, Pouch of King's Dust x10, Earth King's Skill Scroll x2 ]

"Not bad… I wonder what I would get from the Earth King's Skill Scroll…" Shane mused for a moment as he considered using it for himself. Although he had plenty of skills already, he didn't mind getting more of them.

With the enemies defeated, the team took a moment to catch their breath while the others started looting the Earth Zombies as well… Shane also tried looting a couple of them, and the loot wasn't really that great. Nonetheless, they were generous to experience points, so he allowed the others to loot them and increase their chance of leveling up.

In any case, he already has several Instant Experience Boost Potions, so those 10 to 15 Experience Points were no longer as attractive as before.

Anyway, now that the first section has been cleared, Shane and the others placed another set of Light Orbs properly. The tunnel was soon cleared, and they finally confirmed that this tunnel was truly man-made.

It felt like this was previously a huge apocalypse bunker.

The second section was blocked by another door, and Shane could tell that it was dangerous for the others to continue.

Anyway, there was also no rush to conquer this territory. It would remain as their secret Zombie Den and perhaps, he could send people from time to time to clear the Zombies in the first section.

After all, he believed that these Earth Zombies would somehow "spawn" as long as the Territory Lord wasn't killed. It seemed to be a prearranged rule, similar to the Crypt Crawler's den.

Nonetheless, he still believed that he must understand what lies in the second section… After all, with his heightened senses, he already had an idea of what was inside…

He just needed to know how bad it was.

Shane steeled himself, donning his Tier 4 Great Survivor Set… It was the reward he obtained after reaching level 40.

It was composed of helm, jacket, gauntlets, pants, and boots.

"Feels good…" Shane muttered after wearing them.

Of course, these effects were incredible. However, the main reason why he wore the Great Survivor Set instead was due to its Set Effect. Continue reading at empire

"It's here…" Shane muttered as he saw the system messages for the additional effects. The effects of each piece of equipment were already incredible.

However, these effects weren't enough for what he wanted to do. What he needed were the Set Effects!

[ You have equipped 3 pieces of the Great Survivor Set. ]

[ Effect Unlocked: Unstoppable Will ]

[ Unstoppable Will: The user's mind is fortified, granting increased resistance against mental debuffs. Shane smiled after seeing the Poison Resistance he had just obtained. Of course, he currently has Level 10 Poison Resistance as well in his Survivor Skills. However, what he was about to face might require him more than just that.

Anyway, the rest of the group didn't think too much after seeing him change his clothes. They just knew that he was preparing for something.

Shane then moved around for a bit as he tried to get used to the new clothes he was wearing. After familiarizing himself with the new weight of his clothes, Shane finally started giving instructions.

"All of you will guard the door," he instructed.

"Once I finish scouting the area, I'll return if I can, but if the situation is manageable, I'll clear it myself. Do

not

enter. I'm fairly certain that the Zombies inside will be Toxic Zombies."

The warning left his team uneasy. Toxic Zombies were known for their clouded aura of poisonous miasma—breathing it in was lethal to those without sufficient resistance.

Tieria was actually quite surprised as his mechanical eye couldn't pierce through the metal door blocking the second section of this chamber.

'Incredible… I can only sense that it's dangerous there… I wonder how he's detecting the Zombies.' Tieria mused for a moment as he looked at Shane in awe.

"Are you going to be alright in there, Leader? Do you have an antidote?" Ibrahim asked, his brow creased with worry. Toxic Zombies would certainly kill him if he doesn't have an antidote. Furthermore, if something unexpected happens to Shane, they have no way of saving him inside due to the poison.

"I have Poison Resistance. I can manage it," Shane assured him. "Just stay here and close the door once I enter."

"Ughh… If we knew that we'd be dealing with Toxic Zombies, we could've prepared for it, Leader." One of the Elves said, as they seemed to have a special method for this.

"Oh? You have such method? That would be perfect for our future. We might be dealing with Toxic Zombies soon, so I want you to work together once we return so everyone can have some level of protection against poison. Is that fine?" Shane asked.

"Of course!" The two elves nodded as they were happy to help.

On the other hand, Shane suddenly recalled that he could also use his Skill Infuser Skill to get everyone some Poison Resistance. However, he also realized that it wouldn't be good if they were heavily reliant on him…
