Your Lord Has A Screw Loose?

Chapter 39: Chapter 39: 2nd Tier Troops, Magic Spirit Monster

[Please note, one of your Spirit Monster Workshops has undergone a subtle change]

[Your Magic Energy Spirit Monster Workshop has transformed, resulting in enhanced attributes and skills for the produced Magic Energy Spirit Monsters]

[Please name this troop type and the troops]

[You have obtained new building blueprints: Unnamed Troop Building]

[Please note that this troop building is for Rank 2 troops, and you are unable to use it] "???"

"Why can't I recruit the troop building I've worked so hard to modify? You're telling me now that I can't use it?"

Qin Muye had planned to send his Rank 2 Frenzy Blood Spirit Monsters on a rampage, but suddenly he's told he can't use them-nonsense.

If it was a troop building he couldn't use that he constructed from the blueprints, he might understand, but now he absolutely couldn't accept it.

However, Qin Muye's refusal did nothing to change the outcome; he could only grumble and ended up renaming the Rank 2 Spirit Monsters to Magic Spirit Monsters, and transformed the troop building into a Magic Spirit Monster Factory.

[Introduction: A unique product from a gifted Lord, with a distinctive troop orientation and an imaginative style. Perfectly utilizing the opportunities between rules, perhaps one day we might see Spirit Monsters that rival Divinities?]

Qin Muye looked at his Magic Spirit Monsters and, although he felt the introduction was becoming more and more frivolous, that wasn't what mattered. What was crucial was that the Rank 2 Magic Spirit Monsters fit his needs perfectly, and there was still room for improvement.

At Rank 2, there are likely two more chances for enhancement.

In other words, the current Magic Spirit Monsters are at the early stage of Rank 2. There are later the mid-stage and the final stage of Rank 2, and as to whether there is a distinction like perfect Rank 2, Great Perfection, or half-step to Rank 3, that depends on whether Qin Muye has enough knowledge.

If one had enough knowledge, perhaps there wouldn't be a need for so many distinctions. Without it, though, one would have no choice but to grind it out slowly, hence more divisions would emerge.

"But Divine beings? Are there Divine beings in this world?" Qin Muye looked at the introduction and wondered if that was a bit troubling.

As for the state of the Magic Continent, he was utterly clueless, having only come into contact with four natives. Apart from the Wisdom Tree and Molick, the remaining two were enemies whom he had killed.

Thus, he had no idea what the Magic Continent's background was like.

He could have bought the information from Molick, the wandering merchant, but unfortunately, he didn't have enough Gold Coins. As for asking around, he might as well forget it; the other's attitude made everything clear. They were disdainful and ominous even when selling goods, let alone when someone wanted to inquire about something.

It was only because Qin Muye lacked sufficient strength back then. Otherwise, he would have taught that merchant the meaning of a tariff and stripped a layer off them.

"I really hope to encounter the Wisdom Tree again, even if it's just a shadow clone." Qin Muye missed that Wise Man greatly. If he met him again, he promised to transplant him right in front of the Mage Tower.

Unless he completed his quest or finished a visit, he would exploit a BUG to make the other party a treasure within his territory.

Thinking they could leave after entering Qin Muye's domain? Wishful thinking.

"Master, about that, has the Rank 2 transformation been completed?" The Demon Blood, who had finished training, looked eagerly at Qin Muye as if itching to try.

On hearing this, Qin Muye's face fell: "No, I got tricked. It's unusable. Got to wait until the territory reaches Rank 2, and I'm still 1 Level short."

The Demon Blood had brought up an impossibility. If there were no issues, Qin Muye wouldn't be idly reading books; he would have called them over to level up a long time ago- he wasn't short on Gold Coins.

The thing he had most in surplus now was Gold Coins. Due to underdeveloped commerce, he could only use them to recruit Troops and buy daily necessities in the store.

As for recruiting more Troops, that wasn't in his current plans. Even if he recruited them now, they would only be ordinary Magic Energy Spirit Monsters, not Elite Level.

So, if he really went ahead with recruiting, 100 Magic Energy Spirit Monsters would consume 900 units of Food. And turning those into Frenzy Blood Spirit Monsters would mean a daily Food consumption of 1200 units. His current daily Food surplus would instantly plunge into deficit, utterly unsustainable.

If he wanted to recruit again, he'd need to expand the farmland or find some other way to increase his Food supply. Only then would he consider recruiting further.

Previously, due to a lack of combat power, Qin Muye had resorted to this measure. But now that his combat power was ensured, he'd rather wait for the territory to reach Rank 2 and then directly recruit Rank 2 Magic Spirit Monsters. Wouldn't that be better?

"Rank 2? Does that mean we can proceed after tomorrow's monster siege is done?" Demon Blood said, a tad excited.

Qin Muye was Level 9, Demon Blood Level 8, and Evil Tongue Level 3. Even though Qin Muye had the highest level, he was actually the weakest in reality, with only the strength of a normal person-he was just a bit smarter.

Strategic command was hardly his forte. His talents lay more in learning and research. He was even more of an auxiliary character than Evil Tongue.

In terms of Lord's strength, Qin Muye felt that he would definitely be at the bottom. After all, not everyone would choose a Profession with absolutely no combat capability like him. But if someone saw his situation, they would probably think of the rise of his domain since unique Troops combined with the nature of his Profession name made it easy to figure out. Qin Muye hadn't thought of hiding it. After all, he was in the middle of nowhere, where not even the original inhabitants, much less Lords, made an appearance.

For this reason, Qin Muye also complained inwardly. So much for increased native

encounters...

Fine, they didn't lie. He had met two Undead Heroes, and probably had to face two more in the next two days. Compared to last week, it indeed increased-they had doubled. These natives weren't the least bit friendly, but that was okay. Qin Muye wasn't friendly

either.

After the last wave of monster sieges finished the day after tomorrow, Qin Muye would send Demon Blood out with the Frenzy Blood Spirit Monsters to locate the Undead Forces' home, and then annihilate them.

As for the possibility of them having support in the background? That wasn't his concern.

After all, with the current situation, one could say they were sworn enemies. Qin Muye had destroyed so many of their Soldiers and Heroes; there was no way they'd let bygones be

bygones.
