Chapter 393 Know Your Place!
"I never believed this to be possible," Yu stared at Fuhua, Grecia and Jena who were seated around a small table while Sol stood staring upwardsand the mana sphere thet occupied passed gate after gate so fast that nothing around her made sense.
"What are you referring to Lady Yu?" Jena asked. "There are a lot of impossible things happening currently, it is the norm to make the impossible possible while Master Vestic is present," She vaguely explained what the remainder of their journey would be like.
"Well, for one, I never imagined I would say goodbye to The Drifting Heaven Plane so abruptly, it happened in the span of a few hours..." Yu commented, looking at Sol.
"I was utterly convinced that this was the right decision, and pledged my loyalty to a man I have not known for any significant time."
"A battle between two evenly matched masters carries with it a lifetime of conversation, every blow, every parry, every single counter and attack was a conversation worth a thousand years." Sol answered her statement with a smile directed at her. "Do you disagree?"
"Of course not, I understand well what happened while we fought, it was also the first time since fighting my father that I lost a fight, but above that I was most convinced when my father intervened, that was what helped me decide." She added.
"How come?" Fuhua asked. "I thougth you would say that you were inclined to because of the contract and the deal." She leaned her head after making a suggestive inquiry.
"If I was unconvinved, I would have taken my life and killed us both," The woman admitted seriously.
"You did not attack him, even when you could, even if it was pointless, you never showed him any hostility, rather you scolded him and schooled him on morality, even if he is a grey man, it was intriguing to see my old man flustered after a scolding."
Sol wanted to refute that right there and then, but Yu was still new, he wanted to prevent further complications by revealing how the Beginning only chose those who tread the very thin line between good and evil for the sake of balance, which was why it was under his total control.
"Where are we headed, Master?" Fuhua asked, seeing the amused expression on Sol's face as he contemplated saying his piece regardless.
"The Grand Fae Dimension," Sol answered, staring at the stars, if I was alone I would have already been there, but with the rest of you here this is the fastest we can move while inside of this dense field of mana." He added.
"What field of mana?" Yu seemed confused.
"Honestly, why does everyone refuse to use the System properly?" Jena asked, staring at Yu while a System window appeared before her.
[You have been given the passive skill; Mana Sight. View the worlds and cosmos as never before seen, reach out and grasp the truths of your reality]
The window alerted her, and immediately after it vanished, Yu's field of vision became clouded with all the spectrums of a rainbow as all manner of contrasting mana fields brilliantly lit up around her, different natures of mana.
Divine mana, ordinary mundane mana, Cosmic mana, Demigod mana, they formed large clouds that were invisible to her in the past, and then she looked at Sol and fell to her ass in astonishment.
"What are you?" She asked, mouth half agape while her eyes overflowed and she began weeping against her will. "What manner of being..."
"I am just Sol Vestic," Sol answered. "Ince human, once divine, now ascended, and presently evolving, my goal is to be the strongest, in order to prevent situations like the current one from ever happening."
"You are Sol Vestic..." Yu Mused in disbelief. "Your mana... did I ever stand a chance of winning against you, was I falsely led to believe I stood a chance?"
"Sister Yu," Jena cleared her throat. "What you are seeing is not the power Master possesses, but rather the potential power he will have sometime soon, as he said; he is on a path of evolution." She corrected the woman's misconception.
"In truth, once you have been exposed to the system properly, you will be stronger than I am," Sol admitted, causing everyone aside from Jena who was already aware of this to stare at him, shocked.
"What?" Fuhua and Grecia asked simultaneously.
"Think, when the System assigns a title your strength leaps by almost ten times the current, likek yours, Ling, when you were blessed with the system and then granted the title of cosmic being along with being my disciple your power multiplied, you were previously able to destroy towns, but your first act leveled an entire mountain." He gestured to her.
"I have stated this before but we do not cultivate, not in the way you would imagine, the system is a reward based power which grants equivalent benefits to deeds accomplished with your own power, th egreater the act, the greater the reward."
"This is why when i killed Shalba-"
"You gained more power in accordance." Jena looked at Fuhua.
"Wait, does this mean that I would be able to defeat you if I challenged you again?" Yu asked Sol excitedly.
"Dream on, an opponent ten times my current power is something I can still handle." Sol began laughing.
"Wh- then what is the point?!" The woman snapped in frustration, if even when I am stronger I cannot defeat you, what the hell, are you a monster?" She asked, gesturing to him with her hands chopping comically. "Am I missing something here?"
"The stronger the opponent, the faster I grow," Sol answered her with a passive smile. "To put it in a simpler term, you are stronger than I am, but my overall power will still far exceed anything you are capable of.
"Another Infinity paradox," Grecia clapped her hands.
"Exactly!" Sol pointed at her like a teacher in session.
"Infinity what?"
"Master holds an entire Collective as his source of power, the only being capable of overpowering him is one who holds equivalent or greater power."
"Fuelled by an entire Collective...?"
"Yes, so in simpler terms, your power is infinite because of your draconic blood, however I hold within me a larger infinity than yours, unless you found a way to kill me within the first few minutes, I would win ina fight to the death." Sol explained.
"That is absurd, you truly are a monster..." Yu shook her head and then looked at Fuhua. "Why is there a collective inside of him?" She whispered.
"Ohohoh~" Fuhua gave the woman a clean and villain-like chuckle. "You are officially my junior sister now, I will tell you what the System told me," She rested her hand on the woman's shoulder with a smug smirk.
"You should spend the free time you have reading, the truth you seek is within the codex, which holds most of master's history as well as the feats he has accomplished, you will discover everything you wish to know with a little studying."
"I have not studied in centuries-"
"Then you best get to it, we only have two hours before we make it to the Grand fae Dimension." Fuhua pinched Yu's cheek and then went back to her own studies while Jena and Grecia laughed at her shocked expression.
"How humiliating, having to call this child senior sister now..." The woman pouted and sat around the table with them, pulling up the System window and following Jena's secret instruction and opening the codex, searching first for Sol's name as she wished to know as much about the man she would be calling Master in the future.

"We have begun slowing down," Jena alarmed everyone tha they were approaching the edge of Drifting Heaven.
"Master, will you be breaking through as you did the last time?" She asked, standing at his side and staring up at him with a worried expression.
She was not worried that he would, but rather worried about how much damage he would cause this time since it was not yet apparent but Sol had already gotten a little stronger after his brief encounter with Zhang Yu, the Heavenly Master of Drifting Heaven.
"That worked so well the first time..." Sol retorted sarcastically, looking down at her with a deadpan and then sighing as the barrier of Drifting Heaven came into view. "I don't think I will need to break through a second time, right, Zhang Yu?" Sol looked to the cosmos, smiling and pointing towards the barrier after they passed through the last gate and began rapidly decelerating.
"Ugh! This insolent brat has no respect for his elders!" Zhang stared at the barrier with a depressed frown, seated in his private abode with one of the gems Jena had left floating before him. "How dare he call my name so casually, I am the master of this domain!" He waved his hand. "I will teach you a lesson Sol Vestic, you will know your place!"n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Incoming!!" Fuhua screamed grabbing Grecia and diving to the ground when a bold of crimson lightning crashed across the void passing easily through the mana sphere and crashing into Sol who had raised a shield and leapt towards the barrier.
"What a sore loser!" Sol clenched his teeth when the bolt multiplied, leaving burns all across his body as he was beseeched by a sudden storm of thousands of lightning bolts, passing through the barrier when it opened up and let them through.
"Master!" Yu leapt out into the passage, reaching for Sol who had once again lost consciousness after suffering the attacks of a Primordial Deity with a grudge, except this time he was showing no signs of recovery.
