The World's most Overpowered Side-Character

Chapter 392 We Are All In Danger.

"Well, there IS something you can do to prevent her from returning with me," Sol spoke up, setting Grecia straight and then looking at Fuhua who was startled at what she was hearing from Yu and the Heavenly Ancestor.

"Name your price, I would do whatever it takes to see my daughter out of harm's way."

"Haha he walked right into that one." Jena snickered seeing Sol smile and stare at the man, waving his hand and healing all of his injuries as well as returning his attire to that of Source's dress code now that there was no more danger or fight.

"Replace her and return with me, that's the only way I will deny her the right to fight at my side, Yu is powerful, I won't turn her down unless someone even stronger accompanies me back to the Grand Collective," Sol offered the man an alternative and saw his eyes begin to twitch as he fumed in disbelief.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"You are indeed a swindler!" Zhang snapped.

"I would still chase after you, I have marked your mana with mine, and we are still tethered by the soul, there is nowhere you can go that I will not be able to track you-" Yu was on her way to explaining a counter to being left behind but Zhang and Sol shook their heads, coming to an agreement for the first time since meeting.

"He is a Godslayer, they have access to a unique power called the Beginning; it is weak in comparison to the strength I possess, but it allows them to traverse a plain between realities, not even the enemies he faces now can go there, only a Godslayer can enter."

"It sounds like using the Beginning would make victory over Giza certain..." Fuhua thought to herself.

"The Beginning is an imaginary plain that I have seized comlplete control of, after I did this I realised that it isn't really that useful in my current situation, although I have used is as a means of escape in the past, it harms those who are not Godslayer overtime, regardless of your power, it will slowly strip you of your mana-"

"Then why not try trapping your enemy there?"

"Giza would break free," Sol shook his head, she is the first darkness, something like the beginning came into being after her, she'd find a way to turn Grey into black, that's the worst case scenario.

"And by essence, Umbra is also able to manipulate the Beginning if he ends up in there," Sol added. "His soul is a direct clone of mine, down to the last spiritual cell and mana particle, except he is darkness while I am light, if I allow him inside of the Beginning, he will gain as much ownership as I have, if he does that then I will lose without a doubt." He stared at the stars.

"If it was easy, I wouldn't be seeking help."

"You are fighting someone that is essentially you, with all your powers?" Zhang asked. "How the devils did you manage to create such a disaster?" He huffed. "This is what I mean, constantly warring with each other and trying to create more power-"

"Umbra was a byproduct my wife's attempt to preserve my power while we existed in another dimension, Ikaris is innocent of blame as well..." Sol shook his head. "Why am I even explaining this to someone who will not accompany me?" He clicked his tongue and turned his back. "I will leave."

"I will accompany you!" Yu took a step towards them, anticipating Zhang's interferance and dodging his hand when he tried grabbing her.

"If you wish to leave with me as an ally, we best make haste, as soon as he figures out that I have already conceded defeat he will do everything in his power to stop you from leaving, you will immediately die," Yu bumped Sol's shoulder, using the recently installed system to send him a mental note.

"Sure," Sol chuckled and turned to Zhang. "You know where to find me if you want to help out, old man."

"Thank you for sparing us, Heavenly Master," Grecia bowed to the man and began trotting next to Sol and Yu.

"I bit you farewell, Sir," Fuhua gave him a respectful bow as well while he stood there staring at his daughter, unable to think of a way to keep her from leaving without imprisoning her.

"See you around, Baldy!" Jena waved informally at him sending him into a fit of huffs and grunts.

A few seconds later though he went silent when a small chest appeared at his feet, he could tell without even checking the contents; inside of that chest there was an entire universe worth of cultivation resources. "A gift from Master, as per his agreement with Lady Fu."

"Old man," He repeated the little girl's words with an amused sigh. "How did a child manage to break from my mana prison?" He wondered, folding his feet right where he stood and taking a sear, watching th esky open with a great cerulean ring that almost covered the horizon. "Is she a child at all?"

"Oh, that is the power that brougth them here from Middle Heaven in just two days, even if I wanted to catch them, the moment they leave through that gate I will be unable to..." He stared at the five of them slowly ascending towards the gate, and then almost lost his ability to think when he saw more gates slowly appear off in the distance, thousands of units away from each other.

"Little Yu," Zhang suddenly appeared in their way again, prompting Sol to raise one hand defensively, but it was Yu who raised her hand before Sol and slowly approached her father of her own volition.

"Father, have you come to your senses?" She asked.

"My senses?" Zhang chuckled. "No, I will never accept an alliance between you and this swindler, he is stealing the most valuable treasure in all of Source..." He dropped his hand on her head ane began ruffling her hair with a nostalgic smile.

"Father, be serious," Yu swatted his hand off her head. "What do you want?" She asked.

"Take this with you," He sighed, taking a small sword from behind her ear and presenting it to her like a toy.

"This is-"

"If your intention is to stand at his side and fight against something as terrible as the first darkness, then you will need a weapon of at least this quality to do it, you know that Drifting Heaven needs me, it would cease function without the Heavenly Master's presence, as is the case with most of the Heavens inside of Source," He slowly turned his attention fron Yu to Sol as he spoke.

"Sol Vestic, there are masters inside of source who may help if you offer them the right compensation, they have no Heaven under their name; wanderers in search of someolace to call home, many of whom are stronger than even me." He spoke to him calmly but it somehow seemed like a warning more than anything else.

"They are hidden between plains, secluded dimensions created after the destruction or abandonment of their heavens in pursuit of more power, they are dangerous people who may cause more harm than good, but if your intent is to destroy the darkness at whatever cost then they may be an alternative."

"I see," Sol clasped his hands in the same way he had seen Yu greet the man and lowered his head, causing Jena to almost gasp, this was the first real bow she had seen Sol bow.

"Thank you for the advice, I'll be careful in the future, Heavenly Master."

"Are you jesting?" Zhang snorted. "Being cafeful is not enough, you better make sure no harm comes to my daughter, or what awaits you will make you beg for death."

"Don't kid yourself, old man," Sol began ascending again. "Unless you meet me halfway there, the next time we meet you will be the one calling me master instead." Sol declared, casting a bubble around everyone else and then creating a platform beneath his feet when they were all at his side.

"How does this work?" Yu looked at the gate above them and the platform below.

"Space is folded between gates, making an impossible stride the same as a half of a step, we will be several universes away in a matter of seconds, we will be breaking through the barrier to the next domain in three hours." Sol answered her.

"You do not need to ask Master all of this, the information is going to be provided inside of the codex," Jena looked up at the woman standing next to Sol where she usually stood.

With a silgle bound, Sol dragged them through the first gate, vanishing in a warp as soon as they disappeared through the gate, which then slowly disappeared as well, leaving Zhang in a broken galaxy with a depressed sigh. "Young people these days..." He spread his hands wide and chuckled.

"As if I would not realise that the contract was fulfilled as soon as my daughter fell unconscious," He laughed, collapsing the galaxy onto itself with the mere gesture of his hands, undoing all of the damage Sol and Yu had caused and then reappearing near the Guard who were still searching for Fuhua and Grecia.

"Heavenly Master-"

"Stop your search, they are long gone, as is the Godslayer and my daughter," Zhang donned a regal posture now that he was before his people again.

"Master Fu lost?"

"She was not his match, and against my better judgement, I decided to allow her to leave on her own request," He raised his hand, revealing the crest Yu had offered him. "Make adjustments to the games, there is a position vacant within the Guard, and begin making preparations for travel beyond Source,"

"Master?"

"I will aid Sol Vestic when the time comes, if the enemy he faces is the same one Source fought in ancient times then he needs all the help he can get, because thay entity will not stop at the Grand Collective, we are all in danger of annihilation."
