Lin Shen held the Evil Ghost Blade in his hand and casually slaughtered a few creatures that had slipped through the net, while swiftly sliding down with the help of the rope.

The underground space actually had a flight restriction; neither flying abilities nor Life Bases could take flight, only those creatures with wings or the like could soar relying on their physical ability to fly.

Creatures hanging upside down from the Sky Vault flapped their wings and dove down, among them were already Ascended Creatures beginning to appear.

Wei Changqing and his six companions were overflowing with purple aura, streaks of which crisscrossed the sky, slaying creatures by the swathes, causing them to plummet toward the mountain ranges.

Lin Shen wondered why all of the Nirvana Beings from the Wei Family had Life Bases in the form of Phoenix Plume Knives, with only slight variations in shape.

Why did Wei's Life Base not take the form of a Phoenix Plume Knife, not even remotely, but was instead a White Robe?

Considering they all cultivated the Purple Qi Phoenix Spell, the differences in their Life Bases should not be so great. Even if Wei's Life Base wasn't a Phoenix Plume Knife, it should at least be some sort of weapon like a sword.

Under the protection of Wei Changqing and the others, Lin Shen and Wei Wufu landed on a mountain peak beside the big river.

Before Lin Shen could take a good look around, he saw hordes of Base Variant Creatures gathering below the mountain, moving toward them.

These Base Variant Creatures, oddly shaped like locusts, glowed a ghostly blue and were as big as tigers.

Before Lin Shen could act, a phoenix cry sounded. A stroke of purple Blade Qi morphed into a soaring purple phoenix, spiraling down and annihilating all the Base Variant Creatures.

A Nirvana Being named Wei Shoucheng slid down the rope and landed right next to Lin Shen and his company.

He wielded his Phoenix Plume Knife in a sweeping motion, and with a terrifying display of Blade Qi, he sheared off half a small mountain teeming with Base Variant Creatures in an instant.

The sheared mountain crashed down, causing the ground to shake and tremble non-stop, with thunderous booming that was unceasing.

Lin Shen watched in astonishment. "The Nirvana Beings of the Wei Family are so powerful, their strength seems to be on par with Ye Ya."

Lin Shen had originally thought that the Nirvana Beings of the Wei Family, having undergone Nirvana on the home planet, had chosen the path of Minor Nirvana and wouldn't be particularly strong.

But the power of this single strike was clearly not a minor matter.

The might of this blade instantly sent the nearby Base Variant Creatures fleeing for their lives, cleaning up the area in no time.

Wei Changqing and the others also slid down the rope. The creatures in the sky did not pursue them but flew back to the top of the vault, perching on it. The twinkling lights above were the glow emitted from their bodies.

"Is this the crashed spaceship? Is there anything left inside?" Lin Shen asked Wei Wufu nearby.

Wei Shoucheng knew Wei Wufu had difficulty speaking, so he took it upon himself to say, "This spaceship is made of a special material that even our Nirvana Level strength can hardly damage. From the holes that resemble blood vessels, a blue fluid constantly seeps out, mutating the body upon contact and making it difficult to enter."

Lin Shen only knew from the data that the spaceship was the source of infection in the underground space, but he had not expected the spaceship itself to be so resilient.

"How could such a resilient spaceship suffer such severe damage? What exactly happened at that time?" Lin Shen pondered.

"No one knows what happened at that time. If we could enter the interior of the spaceship, we might find some clues," said Wei Shoucheng, pausing briefly before continuing. "The spaceship broke into two pieces, and a lot of things fell out during the crash, forming sources of infection all over the underground space, including space capsules containing Primeval Eggs. This river is particularly heavily infected; it's teeming with Ascended Creatures. We have to clean them out every so often. The last cleanup was three months ago, and now there are probably countless more Ascended Creatures in there. "Alright." Lin Shen followed Wei Changqing and the others as they set out. The underground space was filled with mountains everywhere, and since they couldn't fly, they could only walk along the mountainous terrain.

The Base Variant Creatures in the underground space were simply too numerous; almost everywhere there were groups of them, and Ascended Creatures often appeared.

Fortunately, the strength of the Nirvana Beings like Wei Changqing was formidable, slicing through Ascended Creatures as if they were butchering chickens.

The blade technique of the Wei Family was described in two words: "domineering." Lin Shen had previously thought Wei Wufu was already very domineering, but compared to Wei Shoucheng and the others, Wei Wufu seemed much gentler.

"Stay here and wait; there's a Nirvana Creature nesting ahead. Before we proceed, we must eradicate it to avoid any surprises," Wei Changqing said, looking at the water flowing through a gorge as the group reached it.

As he spoke, Wei Shoucheng had already rushed to the side of the gorge, unleashing a purple Blade Qi towards the blue water stream within it.

The Blade Qi split the water flow into two, then with a clang, it was shattered by a giant purple claw. A purple figure burst from beneath the water, leaping onto the cliffside, its claws gripping the rocks, with a head full of blue eyes that twinkled like lightbulbs, fixating on Wei Shoucheng.

Lin Shen took a clear look at the creature and couldn't help but be slightly startled.

The thing looked remarkably similar to the Black-Capped Mushroom Beast Lin Shen had encountered before, except its body was crystal blue, and its mushroom cap was dotted with many bizarre blue eyes.

"It can't possibly be the same species, can it?" Lin Shen wondered doubtfully.

The Nirvana Creature's claws exerted force, shattering the rocks, and in an instant, its form vanished, as if capable of teleportation.

Bang!

Wei Shoucheng's figure also disappeared, followed by a loud crash.

Shades of purple and blue clashed continuously amid the mountains, the terrifying shockwaves shattering the surrounding rocks into pieces.

After a moment, there was the crisp sound of something snapping. The fast-moving shades of purple and blue came to a halt, as Wei Shoucheng flicked off the blue liquid on his knife. Across from him, the Nirvana Creature's head had been severed from its body.

"So powerful!" Lin Shen muttered to himself, feeling a sinking sensation as he witnessed Wei Shoucheng's prowess.

Among the Nirvana Beings of the Wei Family, Wei Shoucheng was not the most formidable, but even he was so powerful, his strength not far behind Ye Ya's.

Such a formidable Nirvana Being, when several of them teamed up to attack a Nirvana Creature that had not fully matured, didn't gain the upper hand and even suffered hurt. Just how strong was that Nirvana Creature? Lin Shen was beginning to worry.

Along the way, the seven from the Wei Family cleared out various creatures and even took detours to kill several Nirvana Creatures, ensuring that no other Nirvana Creatures would come to interfere with their siege on that one.

The number of Nirvana Creatures in the underground space exceeded Lin Shen's expectations. If these Nirvana Creatures were to jointly strike at the Townland Hall, it was unimaginable who else on the mother planet could withstand if the Wei Family were to fall.

The underground space was vast and boundless; Wei Changqing and the others could only eliminate Nirvana Creatures nearby while also collecting a lot of Nirvana Fluid and a few Spirit Bases of Nirvana Level.

However, they did not use those Spirit Bases themselves, fighting primarily with their own Life Bases.

After several days of battling, the Nirvana Creatures nearby had been mostly cleared out. What puzzled Lin Shen was that all these Nirvana Creatures looked almost like the Black Cap Mushroom Beast, without any other species of Nirvana Creatures in sight.

There were many types of Base Variant and Ascended Creatures in the underground space, yet there seemed to be only this one type of Nirvana Creature, which baffled Lin Shen.
