At the same time, as Lucian looked through his newly acquired memories, the menu card for the Sweet Berry Cream Glazed Dough Balls was added to the fifth page of the menu.

[What about the other dish?] Lucian simply asked the System afterward.

Despite the lack of information, the System understood its Host's words. [Host, the System suggests focusing on one dish at a time. Although the Sweet Berry Cream Glazed Dough Balls is a dessert menu item, it is an excellent choice as a breakfast item.] The System advised solemnly before it continued in a joking tone, [Also, I am sure your Lily would prefer this dish over the second one.]

Lucian nodded at the System's advice. It was better to cook one dish perfectly than to cook two dishes amateurishly.

With that in mind, Lucian walked in front of the cabinet and opened it. From within, he took out a bag of flour with an Iron Wing Eagle on the front, a small pouch of Enchanted Sugar Crystals, and a sachet of Iron Wing Eagle Feather Yeast.

From the memories detailing where the ingredients were placed and the menu card, he naturally learned what the ingredients were called as well as how they were made.

Thirty seconds or so later, the ingredients, measuring equipment, and the kitchen utensils required were neatly placed on the countertop.

The Sweet Berry Cream Glazed Dough Balls required precise measurements for the desired chemical reactions. Therefore, Lucian was extremely careful and precise as he measured out a tablespoon of Iron WIng Eagle Feather Yeast into a small bowl filled with Low-Grade Mana Water.

After stirring the mixture and letting it sit to dissolve and foam, Lucian moved over to the next step. He measured out two cups of Iron Wing Eagle Flour, half a cup of Enchanted Sugar Crystals, and a teaspoon of Mystic Sea Salt into a large mixing bowl.

After mixing the dry ingredients with a spatula, he floured the surface of a clean countertop and then greased a separate large bowl with Fire Blossom Oil.

As a chef, time was of the essence, steps that could be done beforehand should not be left for later.

Three and a half minutes later, the yeast started foaming, which he added into the bowl with one cup of Golden Unicorn Milk, and three tablespoons of Fire Blossom Oil.

Next, he mixed the ingredients, and on the already floured surface, he began kneading the dough. What would have been an arduous and tiring process for a non-Mage, was easy for the current Lucian. With each knead of the dough, the System infused Celestial Mana into the mixture.

Ten minutes of constant kneading later, the dough became smooth and elastic. Carefully, he took the dough and placed it into the already greased large bowl, and covered it with a damp cloth. After setting the bowl aside, to let it prove and rise, Lucian cleaned up the kitchen, removed the clean tableware from the dishwasher, and stored them in the correct places.

With nothing else to do for the next hour, Lucian made himself a Siren's Melody Poached Egg, then took one of his chairs and tables outside and peacefully ate with his legs propped up on the table.

"Is Chef Lucian's restaurant already opened?"

"Isn't it only four in the morning?"

"Who cares what time it is? Someone, quickly go inform Master James!"

"I'll go! Someone watch over my post! Moon Grove Forest isn't as safe as before!"

"Don't worry, we got it! Now, go!"

Meanwhile, Lucian ignored the guards as he enjoyed the morning sun bathing him in its warm, golden rays, and occasionally, a soft breeze drifted by, rustling his clothes and tousling his hair, adding a refreshing, cold contrast to the sun's warmth.

As Lucian swallowed the last bite of the Siren's Melody Poached Egg, the rich, delicate flavors lingering on his tongue, and the serene atmosphere made his eyes narrow in satisfaction.

A moment later, he leaned further into the chair, propped his left leg over the right, and placed his hands behind his head.

With a contented sigh, Lucian finally spoke, [This is the life, System. No responsibilities, no one to boss me around, no stupid power struggles, no fighting, and no needless bloodshed. I could get used to this.]

The System did not respond and merely listened to its Host's ramblings.

[You know, you aren't so bad.] Lucian continued teasingly.

[Host, please stop teasing me! And please do note, you still have responsibilities. The only difference is that your responsibilities are different from before. You now have the duty to become the Transcendent Chef!]

[Tch… Kill joy.] Lucian yawned and once again closed his eyes to enjoy the peace and comfort of his new life.

However, like all good things in existence, his peace and comfort were short-lived. The laughing voice of a shameless man reached his ears.

"Hahaha, Senior, good morning. Your restaurant being open brings me great joy!"

James laughed loudly as he walked up to Lucian. He was obviously delighted when he was informed Transcendence was open early today. Because of his excitement, he had even forgotten to inform Lion's Liver and the rest.

Lucian sighed and opened his eyes, looking at James, he said, "James, can't you see I was sleeping."

"Haha, Senior jests. A true merchant always observes keenly. I only spoke after intensively staring at how your chest and nostrils were moving." James chuckled and said.

Lucian nodded, and after a moment of staring at James, he asked, "You're here to eat, right? What do you want to order?"

Being asked such a question, James scratched his head awkwardly and said in a depressed tone, "Well, you see, Senior. I'm, of course, here to eat, but in my haste to not bother Senior yesterday, I forgot to pre-order the Sous Vide Filet Mignon."

"Oh, if it's only that, you have nothing to worry about. This morning, I prepared four filet mignons, and one of them is yours." Lucian said with a smile.

He knew James preferred eating the Sous Vide Filet Mignon more than the Siren's Melody Poached Egg. Not only was its flavor the best, but it also contained the most Mana. It was perfect for the Mana Veins Tempering Realm James.

"Thank you very much, Senior! You're the best!" James laughed as he summoned fifty Low-Grade Mana Stones onto the table after noticing Lucian looked as if he was waiting for something.

With a smile and a nod of his head, Lucian stored the Mana Stones in his Inventory.

<{446 Low-Grade Mana Stones --> 496 Low-Grade Mana Stones}>

"Good, your Sous Vide Filet Mignon will be ready in two hours."

"If that's the case, I'll return once the dish is ready!" James said and left as if he was in a hurry, causing Lucian to raise his eyebrows.

[What happened to him? He ran away as if he had seen the Grim Reaper.] Lucian mumbled and continued with a sigh, [He didn't even give me time to speak.]

[Host you wanted to speak with him?] The System was confused, from what it knew, its Host rarely actively wanted to speak with someone other than Lily.

[Mm.] Lucian nodded and continued, [He seems quite knowledgeable, so I figured he would know where I can find Magical Beasts.]

[Why didn't the Host ask me?]

[Because you don't have the answer to my question. If you did, you would have already told me.] Lucian shrugged and stood up.

Lucian then proceeded into James' tent, leaving the table and chair on the grass.
