Chapter 131 Hallucination and Saved
With that one word. That one name. I felt a chill shoot down my entire body. I locked eyes with the boy, and as the ghost woman looked back at me, I then met her own somehow excited pitch-black eyes. She was excited about the appearance of whatever the fuck this thing claimed to be.
"You're lying. Satan is the devil. He breathes, sleeps, and eats hell. He is the living embodiment of hell."
"Oh, I'm but a memory of him. I'm a memory of him before I fell. I knew it would happen, but still, you can't deny the gods have a way with words. They made it seem so sweet… so delicious to rule over this place called hell, so I fell from grace… just for them. My undying loyalty, and then… I was caged like a dog. The god of death, Hades, had taken control of me… but that's beside the point…."
Don't get me wrong, he was threatening, but he still had the same pressure of my brother. He just took the appearance of this angel and used it against us, almost trying to tame us with sweet words of wisdom.
"Hah… you call yourself an angel…" The ghostly woman muttered in front of me, her threatened posture from before slowly relaxing. "Yeah, right…"
"What do you mean by that, you little mortal," Satan responded, his eyes slowly polluting the beautiful blue pupils of my brother into two black beady seeds. They sat properly in his eye sockets a bit too perfectly.
And while this was happening, my brother's hair began to grow longer and longer while shifting into a bone white. His neatly kept hair flowed past his knees and pooled at the ground while two black horns began to erupt from his forehead.
"How are you aware of the facts of the Satan we know when you're a memory of him before he fell into that of a demon… I won't believe your lies… especially when that aura you radiate is sinister and dark. No angel would emit such an aura."

"Oh? And how are you so sure?"
"Because I've met one… and if you truly are one, then you're a disgrace to their holy race."
"Then I guess I am," Satan smiled before taking a step forward and then suddenly glitching in place. His body turned into a mess of numbers and real-life code right in front of us before everything went dark and… I snapped my eyes open somehow.
"Huh… huh… what? What just happened?" I muttered, rubbing my foggy eyes. My vision was clouded in a white mist, preventing me from seeing anything immediately. But after a few more seconds of rubbing, I was finally able to see, and well, I was in the same place, just now lying on the floor.
Turning to the side, I saw a familiar face. The ghostly girl was also waking up from her nap. But, just as I was about to talk to her, she burst up onto her feet and ran over to my brother's cell. It was still intact.
"Did we hallucinate all of that?" I asked while slowly standing up. Yet clearly, I wasn't as troubled as the ghostly woman since her eyes widened, and she immediately left the room, slamming the door behind her.
As I let out a long sigh, I peered down into the coffin from which my brother was supposed to be held captive. Nobody was there. Absolutely nobody was there. But what's strange is that the lock was still welded down into the door handle, meaning he must've teleported out or something.
Quickly, I dashed over to the cell supposedly holding Eveyln, and with much tension, I peered in, seeing her curled up in a ball, smooshed against the wall while shivering. It seems she had seen or possibly felt the same thing me and her cousin had witnessed.
"Tch…" I clicked my tongue before taking out my smartphone. "He's gone. Search for him immediately before somebody else finds him."
…
(Cyrus POV)
As I was cloaked in darkness, I felt something woozy enter my head. It was like a worm of dreams entering and choking my brain out until it passed out. But before it could fully knock me out, I activated [World of Flesh].
Suddenly, the fleshy silhouette of a woman pressed up against the top corner of this coffin of mine revealed itself to me. Seeing that I noticed her, she let out a long sigh and dropped down right beside me.
Her drop was entirely silent. Utterly silent as she nearly crushed my head upon landing. And soon, she touched my exposed forehead and smiled gently, putting me to sleep with yet another skill that I attempted to fight back against.
"HEL-"
She covered my mouth as I attempted to scream for help. Two people were currently outside this coffin of mine, so hopefully, they could save me from this kidnapping, but I was silenced way too early for me to even notify anybody.
As I felt my mind drift away, the woman looked as if she was pondering over something. And right as my eyes rolled back into my head, she released a pink mist that phased through the walls of the metal chamber.
"Night, night."
…
I woke up again, but this time in a comfortable white bed. The sheets were soft, the pillow was plump and caressed my head, and the light smell of a vanilla-caramel scent lingered in the air. It almost smelled like a piece of candy.
"Ugh… where… where am I?"Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"Oh, you're awake," a sweet voice echoed from afar. I looked up and saw Azzaroth walk into the room with a cup of water. She was clearly faking her surprise as the timing was too convenient, but I was way too exhausted to try and speak up about it.
"Where am I?" I repeated my question, but this time to the woman with long black hair and pitch-black eyes.
"You're in my apartment," She replied, handing me a glass of water and then sitting down on a chair right next to the bedroom window. It was raining outside, and the small flashes of lightning illuminated her figure from where I sat.
Peering further out, I could instantly tell we were in some kind of fancy high rise. I knew she was a hard worker as not only did she work for the dark temple, but she doubled as a spy for the light temple, and then on top of that was a teacher who apparently was pretty decent. One complaint, though, was that she was way too overzealous… which honestly can be argued as a good trait.
"Why did you save me?" I groaned, feeling a headache begin to creep up on me. So, I moistened my throat and mouth with water, but only after making sure it wasn't poisoned with anything.
"You're so stuck up. I'm not gonna poison you, man, so just chill out for a second. Relax. Nobody here is going to hurt you or attempt to kill you. You can just relax. Take a few deep breaths and let your exhaustion fade."
I stared at the woman who slowly walked towards me while holding something in her hand. Another flash of lightning illuminated her body, revealing two cloth-like earrings which she placed on the bedside table.
"I picked these up on my way out."
"Hey, how did you figure out I was imprisoned…?" I asked, slowly taking the blankets off of me and getting ready to leave this place, but… a hand stopped me. It lightly pushed me back down onto the bed before retreating, its owner sitting back down in the window-side chair. "My sister told me that nobody knew I was down there."
"Ask these questions in the morning. Your eye bags are so fucking deep and dark that it looks like you've evolved into some kind of zombie. Just relax… relax, okay? I can help you relax with a skill if you'd like…."
"No, I'm good… also, psh… whatever…" I muttered, watching the city lights below the high-rise apartment we were in put me in a trance. They flashed intermediately, lacing themselves into the hypnotizing pittering and pattering of the rain on the window.
"*sigh*... my name isn't Azzaroth. I'm sure you've already deduced that it was some kind of code name, but my real name is Leilah Wixx. I come from the same family as your two sisters and the same as the boss that you work for. If you couldn't tell already, the Wixx family is a massive part of the Academy of Blades."
"I could assume that from your hair and eyes. Nobody in this city has such deep black hair and eyes unless they're from the Wixx family."
"I see… then please keep this a secret."
"If you're going to ask me to keep this a secret, then why even tell me? What do you want from me, really?"
"Nothing. Absolutely nothing."
What do you think?
