Warlock of Oceans: My Poseidon System

Chapter 128 Preventing Conflict

Slowly, I slid her hand off of my shoulder and glanced back at her. And it seems she saw something terrifyingly unhuman as she backed away, her entire face paling like she had just seen a ghost, a demon, or a monster.

"Ahem… l-later…" She stuttered before running back to attend to the injured children.

I, on the other hand, walked back into the forest, my bloodlust once more seeping out of my body. Trees toppled over as chips of wood scattered through the air. A massive drooling wolf of vengeance wrapped around my body, suppressing the power which was tearing up my surroundings.

"Hmmm… Hmmmm… Hmmm… London bridge is falling down… falling down… falling down… london bridge is falling down… my… fair… lady~... Kekeke… kekekekekeke… HAHAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Slowly, I swiped my long hair back into a slick back look while my entire face distorted into something full of emotions. But, as the sadistic smile let my sanity slip, I tore the wolf from off my shoulder and devoured it, causing blood to drip from my mouth egregiously.

(Laura POV)

"Yeah, it was a horrible incident. It was the doing of the Cretsplitter family, but mostly the work of that asshole kid. Y'know the one who is always getting in trouble with her seniors… geez, if we could expel her that would make my life so much easier…"

I swiveled my chair around, seeing the elven woman who had a look of guilt on her face. She wasn't one to care about others, but it seems the fact that this happened to such young children didn't sit right with her.

"I see… and, what is the state of the victims? I'm aware they were saved, but what exactly happened? Were they tortured physically or mentally…"

"Physically, ma'am," The elf lowered her head and as I placed both of my elbows in the table and allowed my hands to cup my entire face, I let out a long sigh. This was just so god damn annoying that I doubt I could get my hands on some sleep for the next few days.

"Okay… *sigh*... first, we must stop this from spreading outside of the school. I'm sure you've taken proper procedures, correct?" The woman nodded in response, awaiting my next command. "Okay, just ummm… tch… attend to the wounded and calm the students. Also, keep it a secret that it was the Crestsplitter girl's fault… there is no need for us to get into unnecessary trouble…"

"But ma'am, most of the victims were from notable families. They will demand a perpetrator, so… what do we do? Should we just lie?"

"If that's what it takes to protect our goddamn school… also, take me to the infirmary. I want to see the main victims in order to identify the level of punishment we must give out to this Crestplitter girl… fuck… what a fucking pain… she couldn't just take being number two."

Quickly, we navigated down the hallways, eventually reaching our intended destination. Children bloodied to the max with injuries and horrible screams came in and out of the room, but strangely, we walked past the infirmary and walked into a classroom right next to the nursing office.

"Hey, what are we-"

My heart felt as if it had jumped into my mouth. The world around me contorted and twisted as my eyes landed on the three children who I instantly recognized…. The only people my brother considered close to him.

"Where is he?"n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Where is who-"

"WHERE IS HE?! DID YOU SEE A BOY WITH BLUE HAIR!?"

"Y-Yes, he was completely unharmed and-"

"Take me too him… NOW!" I screamed, causing the elf to whimper ever so slightly before leading the way out of the infirmary. Explore more at empire

Fuck those children. They were completely fine now. Maybe there will be some psychological trauma, but there will be much worse in this school if we don't hurry the fuck up. There was no doubt in my mind. No doubt in my fucking mind that my unhinged brother will go after the mastermind.

I ran and ran and ran and ran and ran until we reached the auditorium. I smashed through the thick layer of glass and hopped down into the massive painting like fantasy world this school had created. It was a beautiful place, yet it was about to be uglied by a stain of royal blood.

"Where was the last place the Crestsplitter girl was seen. We must head there immediately," I ordered and so the elf took direction once again, leading me towards the massive castle smack dab within the fantasy land.

As soon as we landed on the thick stone brick pavement, we ran up the hill and arrived quickly at the top of the castle. She took me to the very, very top which was the roof of the palace. It was a flat open ground where nothing existed. Absolutely nothing was up here.

"Goddammit… are we too late?"

"Hick… hick… hick… p-please, save me… he's gonna c-come a-after me…" A voice whimpered from the corner of the castle roof. It was a small girl with long white hair and fish fins for ears… it was her: Evelyn Crestsplitter.

Quickly, I rushed over to her, checking her for any injuries and thankfully somebody was looking down on us. I just about managed to keep the school out of danger from that fucking psychotic family.

"Hey, let go of her."

All of a sudden, I saw the elven woman who had been assisting with this entire test have tears roll down her face. She looked at me with pure and utter terror as a being of pure destruction gripped her throat from behind while another dagger was placed up against her neck.

"Cyrus… calm down… please, just let her go and I'll give you anything that you want. If you kill or harm anybody here, we will be forced to detain you and I don't want that to happen… Please don't make us do that."

The boy whose eyes were filled to the brim with bloodlust suddenly softened into something cold. His bloodlust was something unforeseen. It completely outmatched mine, meaning I could hardly retaliate as he tossed the elven woman to the side. She scratched against the ground, but didn't have any major enemies.

"I-I'll call back up-"

"NO! HE'S FINE!" I shouted, as agitating him even more would have been worse. And the fact that he was slowly calming down and his bloodlust retreated back into his body meant I could tame this situation.

I was a wall that separated the boy from the sacred girl that I must protect. She needed to learn, of course, but dying before that would be horrible. Especially with the fact that the Crestsplitter family will utterly destroy our academy… I couldn't do much but sacrifice myself right here and now. Even if it meant losing an arm or a leg, I needed to protect this academy.

"It's okay… it's okay…" I muttered, reaching my hand out towards the boy who stared down at me. He felt dangerous. He looked dangerous. Everything about him was dangerous so I needed to calm him down before he did something stupid.

"Heh…"

All of a sudden, his cold expression warped into an unhinged smile. His eyes flicked towards the girl beside me, causing her to let out a yelp of fear. His body twitched and instinctively, I dived forward, catching him and tackling him to the ground.

"Stop… just stop…" I muttered, squeezing him tightly against me, yet strangely, he didn't resist. He just let me squeeze him until I looked at him and realized his eyes were about to pop out of his skull. So, quickly I loosened my grip, only to find myself holding… nothing. Nothing was there. I had been tricked… it was some kind of substitution skill.

"[Saturn]."

A chilling voice ripped through the air, but without a second thought, I whipped my hand around and blasted a gush of water. It smacked both my brother and the little girl against the small ledge of the roof, knocking them clean out.

"Huff… huff… shit…"

"Ma'am, what shall we do with the boy?" The elf slowly walked towards me before helping me onto my feet. She eyed the two kids who would surely play a large role in the future of this world, debating whether or not to punish them. "Or… both, I guess…"

"Put them both in solitary confinement. I'll have a talk with them… and, don't tell the headmaster. Tell him about the incident but don't tell them about where we're bringing them… I need full confidentiality."

"Yes ma'am."

Her assistants immediately got to work and the entire test was postponed. There would be some kind of make up test later on since this entire thing was completely and utterly unfair to not only the victims, but also the person who started it all.

"One more chance is all you get… if it happens again… I'll take matters into my own hands."
