Chapter 1175 The Scattered Soul Fragments
-----
Once the Neutonium Mother Core "Spirit" manifested herself, she quickly looked at Braveblitz, this bizarre robot made even the emotionless and expressionless alien a bit surprised.
"I AM BRAVEBLITZ! HERO OF JUSTICE, PROTECTOR OF HUMANITY!"
As he proclaimed that, Braveblitz struck a pose.
"Huh?"
Even the Neutonium Mother Core was left speechless and surprised before his insane presence and personality… And I couldn't blame her for that.
However, there was something else too, a strange look in her eyes about this entire situation, as if she knew who he was or what he was more than I thought.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Yes, she definitely knew something about him.
"He's strange, since when did I make such a being," she wondered. "No wait, I'm pretty sure this robot is… Ah! But can it be truly possible?"
She seemed to know much better what was happening with my Machine Warrior.
So I was right, her existence is what made Braveblitz be "born" out of the fusion of energies and the Machine Warrior I possessed.
Yet she doesn't remember making him, and even felt like… she knew him? Or he had something she knew about?
"What is it? Tell me."
"Ah… Nothing."
But she shut down her mouth, without saying anything… How odd, I thought we had a deal of trust, why is she keeping silent about this?
"You can't keep secrets from me," I said. "We've made a deal, remember? If you don't tell me, I won't help you gather your other Soul Fragments."
"Are you serious…" she sighed. "Ah, fine… I'll tell you, but I simply didn't want to say anything because I wasn't sure. That robot… that being, it probably inherited a fragment of my soul."
"Come again?" I asked.
"It's not the same as the other fragments," she said. "It's more like… a child born from my own soul, with a smaller soul. Like you, beings made of flesh, often reproduce by detaching your flesh and creating a new child."
"That's not how birthing works…" Eleanora muttered. "Wait, or is it?"
"It doesn't matter either way," I sighed. "So Braveblitz is a Neutonium Core Soul born from yours, was that a possibility?"
"Not that I know," she said. "He's technically not a soul but also a physical being, his core, it was also part of me once… I guess it all ended merging with the machine parts… I see now."
"What?" I asked.
"Braveblitz is a new lifeform, a type of… evolution from Neutonium Cores," she said with slight excitement. "I never imagined this was possible… but it all fits together now! Instead of simply being a machine fueled by our bodies and souls, our bodies and souls have absorbed the machine, and this is how he was born!"
"Oooh! So these are my origins, amazing!" Braveblitz nodded. "Then I should call you mother?! MOTHERRRR!"
He tried hugging her, but because she was incorporeal, he ended falling into the ground and smashing his head into the cold steel floor.
CLANK!
"Ouch! That… didn't hurt at all."
He slowly stood up.
"Please don't try to hug me, I am not a corporeal being in this state," said the Neutonium Mother Core. "More importantly… despite your strange, quirky personality, you are a very valuable specimen, Braveblitz. Perhaps if I can analyze you properly, it could be possible to extract the blueprint towards our kind's evolution. Like this, not only I, but the rest of your siblings could potentially evolve."
"Wow! No way! That would be incredible, mother!" said Braveblitz. "But would it be that simple?"
"Hmm… Certainly not. Not without my full powers at least," she said. "So for now, that plan will be postponed until you can secure my two other fragments."
"Alright… I don't particularly care about what you will do with your kind," I shrugged. "But as long as you lend me your help when fighting the Xenoids, it's all good. Now that we're finally free, we should move to the Virtual Reality and immediately go fetch one of your fragments at least. I don't think we can get both at the same time, but at least one should be enough, right?"
"Yes, I believe so, I can guide you where it is," she said. "But based where you currently are, it is very far away. You see, the map of that Virtual Reality Game is almost the same as Earth, the planet where these humans originated from. And there are several continents."
"Earth… I've never heard of such a planet before, what a dull name," I said, crossing my arms.
"I agree, it's a very dull name to give to a planet," she nodded. "But besides that, its huge, there's several continents and most of them had never been explored anyways. Most of the Player base within this entire Ship don't surpass five hundred thousand, and they're all mostly gathered in the North America continent, where the arena and the city connected to it are located."
"I see…" I nodded. "So where are the other Soul Fragments?"
"While North America remains desertic, to the east, there's the European Continent that has been engulfed on a huge tundra. That's where one of my Soul Fragments has been saved. Inside of a temple similar to the first one you found… I'm afraid there might be powerful Mutant Monsters there, which they probably spread through the entire area to make it even more dangerous and off-limits…"
"Hmm," I nodded. "Okay, so we need to fly off to a completely different continent in a matter of minutes or maybe an hour, sounds unlikely…"
"That is, if you do it the normal way," she said. "In the middle of the ocean connecting both continents there's a small artificial island, long ago abandoned. There, you can find a teleportation device I can repair easily, it'll lead you close to the ruins where my other soul fragment is located, in a country that was once called Russia."
"Okay, that sounds more reasonable…" I nodded. "Then let's go, we don't have time to waste… Braveblitz you… well, you can't join the game can't you? So just stay here."
"Hahah! I knew you would say that, Blake!" he smiled, crossing his arms confidently. "But don't you worry! I got the perfect way to accompany you into that Virtual Space! Grab this!"
Suddenly, he opened his chest and took out a golden colored ring from it, with a green jewel on top.
"A ring?"
"Not any ring, it's me!"
The ring suddenly spoke with his voice.
