Chapter 153 - Change
A few hours went by quickly as Amelia stayed on my lap for this whole time. At first, it had been awkward, but by the end, it was like she hadn't even been there in the first place.
I didn't even bother with her anymore as she even fell asleep on my chest.
However, it seemed that it was about time to get out of the Icy Lake; I could start feeling the ice powers slowly developing within me. Those powers would most likely become stronger and stronger depending on the amount of time one would spend in this place. But I didn't have an unlimited amount of time as he wanted to get back to the Human Kingdom quite soon.
I knew that there were quite a lot of things waiting for me once I got back. I would have to meet with the Emperor and talk a little about Alexandra, I would also need to deal with Jackson's family… the video of me. There were so many things that I would be in over my head. That's why this chill moment was one that I savored.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
I softly tapped into Amelia's shoulder, waking her up. "Hey, it's time to go… I need to get out."
Her eyes slowly opened as she looked at me straight in the eyes, a weak smile forming on her lips. There was this loving gaze in her eyes… I knew she was in love with me, but she might actually be obsessed with me. There was actually someone else that could considered to be obsessed with me.
It was Emma.
Once Amelia fell asleep, she immediately came in my direction. She also started to touch my arms, maybe trying to seduce me or something similar. But she just didn't look away from me. I had helped her with Zero, and it seemed that it had caused a certain reaction within her. It was strange, but there was nothing else I could do.
She was on another level of crazy. I had seen it when I had entered the room alone with her. But it was confirmed. She was absolutely crazy in her mind; something had happened.
Still, I wasn't one to complain. She was beautiful, Amelia was beautiful, and Ava was beautiful. There was just one slight problem. I could only choose one of them. Starting multiple relationships would only cause drama and make most of them mad. Even then, I barely knew Emma apart from the fact that she was a slave. So, she wasn't really a contender to receive my love… On the other hand, I wasn't sure who to pick between Amelia and Ava now. I knew that it would be very close between the two of them, even if I was still slightly leaning in favor of Ava.
She was the first one who had seen right through me almost instantly. She understood me very well… maybe even better than anyone, and that's the reason why I liked her so much.
Amelia, however, would also support me without any hesitation. She just hadn't been able to see over the wall that I built around me. I was still hiding so many things from her that I didn't even know where to start.
Even with Ava, I was still hiding a ton of things from her, and I wouldn't date anyone until I could be true to myself. I did not want to lie to those around me, so the only way for me to even try and date someone would be for them to know everything about me. But… I wasn't ready for that, and I didn't think that I would be ready for such a thing for a long time.
I might have to wait until the end of the war with the demons once I dealt with all of Zero's siblings, who were hiding literally everywhere. He told me about it. However, if I wanted to take all of them on, then I would have to get stronger, a lot stronger. I couldn't rely on Hank forever; I needed to have my own strength and be fast at that.
Amelia slowly moved away from my lap as she continued to smile in my eyes. "T-This was nice, right?"
She was clearly flustered as there was a red hue around her cheeks.
"Yes, it was nice." I patted her head slowly as she closed her eyes and appreciated the moment.
It was quite a strange reaction. It was as if I was patting a dog and not the queen of a kingdom, but what can I say? It's not my fault that I had magic hands and such a handsome face; I keep having all those girls fanning all over me when I don't even try.
Imagine if I were to try… ugh, just thinking about it gives me chills, literal chills.
We got out of the Icy Lake, and it was now time to leave.
All of the former slaves left the Icy Lake with us, and within a few minutes, we were all ready to leave this place, and that's exactly what we did.
Our first stop was the Ice Elves Kingdom. Over the past hours, Amelia had mentioned that she would like me to help her clean up all the traitors since she knew that I had quite a keen eye for it. After all, she had gotten fooled for years right in front of her very eyes. She doubted something, but she never found the slightest amount of proof.
Surprisingly, the path back was a lot easier than when we had been heading toward Icy Lake. I had no idea where the beast from back was now, but one thing was sure: it wasn't influencing the weather anymore.
There was a chance that the beast had left the Snowy Mountains and was currently running faster than the speed of light toward Zero's siblings to tell all the information it had gathered about me, Hank, Amelia, and all my companions. And at the same time, it would also tell them about Zero's death.
One thing was sure. There would be a lot of changes to the world I lived in… and I was the main reason for most of them.
