Supreme Lord: I can extract everything!

Chapter 1078 Freedom

1078  Freedom

Fenrir, the great wolf of the Origin Universe, returned. He was still in the void where he had been sealed by the Primal and the Will's help, but the fearsome and awe-inspiring appearance returned to the surface of the universe for the first time in eons. Fenrir was massive, towering over men and beasts alike. His body was so large that he seemed to darken the sky when he moved. Of course, there was no sun—or sky, for the records—in the void, but Michael imagined Fenrir traveling across the cosmos, his body covering the sun. He had thick, wild fur that was as black as the night, with streaks of silver running through like flashes of lightning in a raging storm. His fur coat was rough and untamed, bristling along his spine. It rippled with vigor, golden bolts bursting out of them as the excitement within the great wolf increased.

His legs were also thick and powerful, muscles rippling under his fur, almost like they had been moved and refined for the eons of confinement. His claws were also a threatening sight. They were long and sharp, digging through the fabric of the void, which had isolated him from the cosmos for longer than he could remember. He left crushing prints as he stepped through the void, attracting Michael's interest.

'Is he using the Power of Extraction to weaken the void's fabric?' He wondered while continuing to study the wolf.

Fenrir's eyes glowed with an eerie, fiery light, a deep red that burned like molten lava. The eyes were full of fury and intellect, always watching the surroundings as if afraid to encounter the Primal again and to be confined once more. However, the fury in his eyes showed Michael also that Fenrir was willing to fight the Primal head-on again. He was ready to fight them once more to determine the final victor. However, this time, Fenrir wasn't alone. Fenrir's eyes gave him a terrifying, almost unnatural presence. His mouth was enormous, filled with sharp, jagged teeth that looked like tiny mountains. They were capable of tearing through anything in his path. Michael didn't doubt the legend of Fenrir being strong enough to swallow the sky itself.

However, Fenrir wasn't the only one with a big mouth. Well, the wolf was the biggest chatterbox among the gods Michael had met until now, but he meant it like that. Jormungandr's mouth was at least as big as his brother's.

Instead of releasing one God Curse after another, Michael simultaneously released Fenrir, Jormungandr, and Hel. However, Jormungandr was probably the most impressive. He was the thickest and longest, after all

Jormungandr was as fearsome as Fenrir, but it was far more monstrous, capable of circling entire worlds with its massive body. His body was covered in thick, scaly armor, with each scale shimmering in a mix of dark green and black, like the depths of the sea. These scales were as tough as void iron, and they made the sound of metal scraping when he moved. Jormungandr's size was beyond imagination. Michael had seen a portion of the World Serpent's size before, but it was only a portion. Michael had yet to see the true extent of Jormungandr's body. Today was the day. The day Michael saw how massive the World Serpent was.

His length stretched from horizon to horizon, the massive body twisting and curling in endless loops. The void was endless, yet it looked like Jormungandr was just as endless. Michael swallowed at that. Jormungandr's head was also gigantic, with a wide, flat skull that looked ancient and powerful like it had seen the Laws of the universe change over countless ages. The World Serpent's eyes were cold and glowing, a fierce yellow like a pair of burning suns, filled with deep ancient wisdom and dangerous, watchful hunger.

Jormungandr's fangs were long and sharp, curving down like deadly hooks. Venom dripped down the fangs, potent enough to tear through the fabric in the void. The World Serpent's maw was wide and terrifying, capable of swallowing entire continents in a single go. The earth would tremble whenever it opened its mouth, and Michael could see faint crackling in the fabric around Jormungandr as he slithered around. Nôv(el)B\\jnn

It was no surprise the Primal had been hunting Jormungandr. The World Serpent was terrifying. If Michael didn't know better, he would consider Jormungandr on the same level as the Primal. Unfortunately, the Primal had more access to Essence. If not for that, the World Serpent may actually be as strong as Primal Xerx had been.

Michael was unsure whether Jormungandr or Fenrir had been stronger in the past, but given Fenrir's confinement as a Curse, it was clear who was stronger now. Jormungandr had grown stronger while Fenrir stagnated. But it was interesting to note that the difference in power between them wasn't high. It was smaller than expected.

Hel was not much different. She was the goddess of the underworld and acquired the authority of Death upon birth, yet she was not much stronger than her siblings. The only thing she was better at was using her techniques. She could probably defeat her siblings as long as enough people around her died to replenish Death Essence.

Just like before, Hel had two sides. Her living side, with pale but smooth skin. She looked coldly at Michael, but her ghostly beauty overshadowed everything. Her hair fell loosely to the ground, shadowy waves swirling around her shoulders. Her eyes on the living side was sharp and pierced deep into Michael as if she could see through his soul. She wore a dark, flowing robe draped over her body, made from materials that seemed almost like shadows, blending with the gloom of the underworld realm. But actually, her clothes were made from Undead Souls and Wraiths. Michael noticed that immediately.

The dress covered most of her dead side as well. However, it was still easy to see the stark contrast between the living and the dead side. Her skin on the dead side was withered and gray and tightly strapped against her bones. It was almost like she was about to become a skeleton. In some sports her flesh was rotting, decaying like the body of a deceased.

Still, Michael didn't budge. He smiled at Hel and greeted her friendly.

"Looks like nothing changed."

[Nothing about me has changed, indeed.] Hel pointed out casually, [But you have changed.]

Michael nodded. That was true. He had changed. Quite a lot at that.
