Supreme Casanova: Ultimate Harem System

Chapter 107 Cheating Like A Pro.

The game was chaos, pure and unfiltered. Hugo and Lily stood on one side of the screen, holding oversized plastic controllers shaped like laser guns.

Across from them, Collins and Tily were already grinning, radiating an aura of smug confidence.

It was a team-based shooting game, the objective simple: blast as many moving targets as possible and outscore your opponents.

Simple, yes—but only if your team wasn't completely out of sync.

"Alright, Hugo," Lily said, adjusting her grip on the controller. Her green eyes sparkled with determination. "We've got this, right?"

Hugo nodded stiffly, his palms already sweating. "Yeah, totally," he lied, glancing at Collins, who winked at him.

'He's mocking me,' Hugo thought bitterly. 'He knows I'm terrible at these things. But not today. Today, I'll rise above!'

The timer began, and the game exploded into action. Targets started popping up on the screen—red for enemies, green for bonuses, and white for penalties.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Hugo raised his controller, squinting at the screen as his mind screamed, Shoot the red! Avoid the white! Wait, is that green or white?!

Beside him, Lily was a whirlwind of energy, her shots precise and quick. "Come on, Hugo!" she said, her voice high with excitement. "Get that one on the left!"

"I'm trying!" Hugo shouted, his voice cracking as he missed another red target and accidentally hit a white one.

The screen flashed a large, angry -10 POINTS message.

Behind them, Collins and Tily were laughing as they racked up points effortlessly.

Collins didn't even seem to be trying; his shots were clean, smooth, and devastatingly accurate. Tily, meanwhile, cheered every time she hit something.

"Oh my gosh, Collins, you're amazing!" she squealed.

Hugo's jaw clenched. He tried harder, ignoring the sweat dripping down his temple. But every time he aimed at a target, it would disappear just before he fired, or worse, he'd hit the wrong one. The frustration was palpable.

By the time the final buzzer sounded, the scoreboard displayed the brutal truth:

Collins & Tily: 650. Hugo & Lily: 230.

Hugo stared at the screen, his face dark as storm clouds. His grip on the controller tightened, his knuckles white.

'I'm doomed. She's going to think I'm a loser. No—she already thinks I'm a loser. Forget the night; I'll be lucky if she doesn't friend zone me forever!'

Lily turned to him, smiling despite their loss. "It's okay, Hugo," she said, patting his shoulder. "We tried our best."

Her encouragement was sweet, but Hugo could see the faintest flicker of disappointment in her eyes.

It was like a dagger to his chest. 'I failed her. Again. What's next? Should I just hand Collins a 'Better Man' trophy?'

As they moved to leave, Hugo's gaze fell on a nearby game—a calming yet deceptively difficult challenge called Balance Beam Blitz.

It was a simple setup: a long beam stretched across a digital chasm on the screen, and the goal was to guide a character across it without falling.

The secret? Absolute calmness and steady hands.

Hugo's eyes lit up. 'This is it. My redemption arc!'

"Hey, how about we try that one?" Hugo suggested, pointing to the game.

Collins glanced at the beam, then back at Hugo, smirking. "You? Balance? You couldn't even hit a stationary target, Hugo. What makes you think you can stay steady here?"

"I've got my secrets," Hugo said, flashing a grin that he hoped looked confident instead of desperate. He turned to Lily. "Trust me, this one's in the bag."

Lily raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Oh? Confident now, are we?"

"Very," Hugo replied. "And to make it more fun—how about another bet?"

Lily tilted her head, smiling mischievously. "What kind of bet?"

Hugo leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a playful murmur. "If I win, you owe me another kiss."

Lily laughed, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks. "Fine, but what if you lose?"

"Then I'll… buy you ice cream. As much as you want," Hugo declared, though his heart screamed, 'What am I doing?! Ice cream is expensive!'

But he swallowed the panic. 'Focus, Hugo. Focus.'

"Deal," Lily said, shaking his hand.

Collins rolled his eyes. "Alright, let's get this over with. Watch and learn, Hugo." He stepped up first, grabbing the controller.

With practiced ease, he guided his character across the beam, earning an impressive High Score: 890 Points before stepping back, looking annoyingly smug. "Beat that," he said.

Hugo swallowed hard. His hands were already trembling. '890? What is he, a zen monk? Okay, okay. Calm down. You've got this. You have the Aura of Zen.'

He activated the skill, feeling the familiar wave of calm wash over him. The noise of the arcade dulled, and the chatter around him faded into background hums.

He stepped up, gripping the controller like it was the Holy Grail.

As the game began, his character stepped onto the beam. The digital wind blew ominously, and the beam swayed slightly.

Every step felt like an eternity. 'Don't look down. Don't think about falling. Just keep moving.'

"Hugo, you've got this!" Lily cheered, and he swore her voice was laced with hope. That hope fueled him.

Step by step, he moved forward, the points climbing higher and higher. 300. 500. 700.

The beam narrowed, the swaying grew worse, but Hugo stayed steady, the Aura of Zen working overtime. Collins leaned closer, his smirk fading into an almost impressed look.

The final stretch came, and Hugo held his breath. 'This is it. One last push!'

Tring!

He reached the end, the screen flashing NEW HIGH SCORE: 900 POINTS.

"YES!" Hugo shouted, pumping his fist in the air. Without thinking, he turned to Lily, scooped her up in a brief but triumphant lift, and spun her around. "We did it!"

Lily laughed, her happiness infectious. "You were amazing, Hugo!" She kissed him lightly on the lips again, and Hugo's heart practically soared out of his chest.

Collins chuckled, shaking his head. "Alright, I'll admit it—you pulled that one off."

Hugo set Lily down, grinning from ear to ear. 'I'm back in the game, baby. This night just got a whole lot better.'
