Struggling as a Villain

"Bringing the citizens of Clinton to Earth? Is it really safe?" Around the dining table sat the family of five, as they were having the lavish dinner prepared by a team of chefs.

All the core members of Crimson Clan would arrive tomorrow in the morning, that's why Bella wanted to spend her time with her family.

Lilia and Emily have rested well and now looked quite refreshed as they sat along the others.

Richard hummed to that question before responding, "Well, once they realize the dangers of the war, they would surely not go against their savior and accept the shelter."

Richard gave the offer to Bennet to bring the common citizen here through the portals and let them stay here until the war concluded.

If Clion survived, they could return to their home and if it doesn't…well, Earth is quite massive in comparison to Clion.

"Will it be beneficial to you if they migrate to Earth, Young Master?" The brunette maid asked as she sat on the left of Duchess Bellarine.

Richard shook his head, "Not really. Unless they accept Aembr they are just anyone living on my turf."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"And the other Aembr users?" Bellarine asked.

Richard allowed the fork from his hand to levitate above his hand, the metal fork surrounded by dark energy, as he stated, "After receiving the authority over this planet, I am gaining power every second."

He further explained, "The core of this planet is now me, so if I die, every Aembr user will lose their power and, eventually, their lives. And in return, their presence would keep strengthening me."

Bella frowned, "And what if Earth gets destroyed?" Surely the apostles must have also figured out that Earth was under her brother's control. So they could target the planet if they intended to weaken her brother.

However, "Then…nothing. I have this Black Heart to keep me alive until there is 'Darkness' around. Until people continue to perish, I will continue to live."

Seeing the faint dark glow from his chest, the four ladies took a strong gulp in nervousness.

There was something they mutually felt about him these days—his presence had become quite profound and terrifying. Although he never intends to intimidate anyone, the new version of Richard gives a very ominous presence.

Richard heaved a sigh, "I actually can think more rationally. The only thing that changed after I lost my human heart is the complications of emotions; my determination has solidified and I know what I will do to achieve it."

Looking up at the ladies, he added, "I just want to end this war and start a new life with you all and Amelia. There is no other goal I have in mind."

Everyone smiled at once. Although he has changed quite a bit, from the inside, he is still the same.

"What are we going to do, Eli?" Inside the room, Elizabeth and Nora were having lunch after sleeping for the whole day.

After a long while, Elizabeth felt like royalty since they were served whatever they asked for.

While slurping on the strange-looking worms, she answered, "Just fight and kill."

Nora heaved a sigh before she handed a napkin to the girl and said, "But we will be against Ethan….what if we have to face him on the battlefield."

"Then we are dead," Elizabeth spoke, with all seriousness in her voice.

"He has become one with the light. The blessing of the five goddesses is with him. The support of the apostles and the church has broken his limits, and has granted him the strength of a demi-god."

Pointing the chopsticks towards Nora, she added, "If you or me needs to face him, we are done for. So it's better to keep running and hiding while we hunt the apostles from the shadows."

Nora sighed; she expected it. After taking the Oath, Ethan couldn't stop himself from murdering anyone who has Aembr. And going against him is not possible, both physically and emotionally.

After a brief period of silence, Elizabeth asked, "Forget about Ethan, what will you do if you come across your family members during the war?"

Nora was rendered speechless for a moment, before she asked, "Will they participate?" In the last timeline, the elven race didn't interfere with the war at all.

However, "They must be thinking that you have been corrupted by the Dark Lord, so there is a high chance the elven chief will take the side of Light."

That….is true. And there is Eleanor as well, who has the skill to manipulate others to strengthen her forces.

After a few moments of silence, Nora asked, "What about you? What will you do if you face your father during the battle?"

"Oh, I will kill him. For sure." No hesitation. Elizabeth was, actually, holding a grudge against him, so this would be an opportunity for her.

Nora was stunned. This girl is really heartless unless the other party is Ethan.

After a bit of thinking Nora uttered, "I…I don't know what I will do."

Elizabeth expected much. She soon finished her meal and wiped her face with the napkin.

Looking at the elf, who was rolling the small tomato on her plate, she said, "Look, Nora, if you are going to participate in this war, then you need to stop hesitating. You already know what can happen if you hesitate even for a moment on the battlefield. So gather your thoughts, and make a decision."

Saying so, the Princess got up from her seat, intending to do some light training to digest the food.

Nora was left alone in the room, thinking about what she said.

Was she actually ready to spill the blood of those whom she once swore to protect?
