Chapter 125: Chapter 125: New Core, Before the Festival
Chapter 125: Chapter 125: New Core, Before the Festival
[3rd POV]
Time had flown by since the date with Artemis and a passionate night with her, school days passing rapidly as Gwen continued to enjoy her time in this world, and with her girlfriends. Over a month of time had passed, a month in which Gwen had accomplished a lot, growing rapidly thanks to reaching several milestones.
Over this month, she had continued her development of the method to sever the Infinity Stones from their home universe, and had recently hit a new milestone in that endeavor. As she had found a proper method in which she could do it, without accidentally destroying a universe or something, a method that involved a living shit load of power, and a very very very specific process.
The process rided on her absorption of the stones themselves. As she had found that her body naturally adapted to the "Frequency" of the multiverse she travels to, be it because of the system, or because of her own adaption, Gwen wasn't sure. But due to this, she had the ability to apply this to the stones, allowing them to also adapt to the frequency of that universe, therefore strengthening them due to their connection to the 6 main concepts of the MCU universe, which all universes are built around (some more than others).
The only problem with absorbing them, was that she still had to cut their connection to the MCU, an extremely delicate process that would require her to quite literally cut the concepts themselves, which she could do, thanks to a very specific item she had, or, sacred gear in this case. This being the sacred gear known as "Canis Lykaon" a sacred gear that would allow her to "cut all things". And with her level of power, this could be taken to the level of cutting concepts.
Add in the knight of the owner which would strengthen it to a higher level and turn it into a pseudo noble phantasm, and then add in the ability "Mirror Lion" that enhances the efficiency of any weapon she holds by 100x, and you have an absolutely monstrous combination.
As while Canis Lykaon was technically not a sword, but it could produce the blades that had the ability to cut through all things, thanks to it also having the "Ame-no-Ohabari" held within it. A powerful weapon, and one that she could use to cut the concepts in order to sever the connection of the stones and the MCU. Cutting them would be a process she'd need to be careful with, and more than that, one she would have to do FAR away from Remnant, in the off chance that it fails and she accidentally blows herself up.
Besides finally finding a proper method to sever the stones and connect them to herself, she had also continued her absorption of grimm, grimm pools, finding all forms of dust, and a host of other things.
She had ended up absorbing some dust, in order to see what sort of effect it would have on her, and found that it had permanently strengthened her magic, and increased the strength of whatever element the dust was. There was some other effects she found interesting, like it strengthening her blood and adding more magic to it, and it's influence and strengthening of her grimm side, but that was about it.
The best dust she had managed to find, and perhaps the rarest and most expensive types, were 5 different types that were found deep inside Remnants core. They were: Space Dust, Light Dust, Darkness Dust, Evolution Dust, and Time Dust.
The evolution dust was the one that caught her eye more than anything, and after looking into it more, she found that the dust was able to induce a rapid increase in the evolution of those that consumed or used the dust itself. A dust that could prove to be incredibly helpful in the future, which is why Gwen had gathered mass amounts of it.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
She had also started to subtly attack certain...less than kind groups. Most notably the Schnee mines, where they held faunus and forced them to work. She would save them, let them free, and then transport them to Menagerie in groups, leaving a confused Ghira. The man was originally worried about not having enough land or food, only to wake up in the morning with news of new houses appearing, and the desert of Menagerie slowly growing trees, becoming more and more habitable. Not only that, but she wiped out the nearby grimm, helping Ghira assimilate the newly freed faunus with much more ease than normal.
Thanks to all of this, she had completed quite a few quests.

Task 11 - Complete 3 otherworldly quests on challenge mode [1/3]
Rewards - System Evolution, new Function, 250 TL tickets
The quest itself was long, but not impossible. Nor was it all that difficult, besides destroying a world, absorbing the infinity stones, and the otherworldly quests on challenge mode. The rewards were...incredible though, especially the TL tickets. But she had a feeling that the next evolution won't let her use a mere 10 TL tickets to get 1 SL ticket (Substellar) as that would be a bit..much, so most likely it would be more than just 10, probably 25 or so. As it only made sense when the characters she could get continued to get higher and higher in power. Just as the quests are going to get much harder than before.
She had naturally used some of her NL tickets, consuming 46 and then turning the rest into 30 TL tickets. And from those tickets, she got some...very very interesting characters.

The ones that really caught Gwen's eye was the DXD characters, and Arthur Leywin. Leonardo had a sacred gear called Annihilation maker, which would allow her to create all sorts of monsters and creatures, with no real limits besides her own imagination. And when you have the mind of thousands of people, and the knowledge of millions of creatures...well, you get a rather monstrous combination.
Ingvild was a pretty powerful character by herself, but the sacred gear of hers was the real interesting one. As it would grant Gwen a high amount of control and power over both the Ocean and dragons. To the point that Ingvild had the potential to control the Dragon Gods themselves, both of which were easily able to destroy the world.
Saji had the Vritra sacred gears that could cancel out the abilities of others, absorb the power
of other people, and all sorts of abilities. Shooting Star had a sacred gear that was basically just a really powerful sword and gun fusion. Georg had the longinus Dimension Lost, which would allow her to black any attack, transport anything inside of the mist it creates to anywhere the user wishes, and should the user reach the peak of their potential, they could even transport entire countries. But Georg was far from that level. Arthur Leywin was the one that really caught her eye, and the best of them. The man had given her a rather interesting, unique, and very very powerful new core within her. Her 10th in fact, and one that was more unique than the others. It was a core of pure "Aether", a powerful energy that was far superior to normal mana and magic. And it was according to the memories "everything after life and before death. It is both space and emptiness. It is endless and boundless time. It is the very essence of magic in this world" and it is also the "Concentrated magical energy left behind by a living being when they pass on".
It was superior to mana and magic, but it was also harder to control. Mana and magic was the "Liquid in a cup" meaning it was easier to control, more malleable, and is always in motion. While Aether was the cup itself, meaning it is rigid, immovable, and will never change
without an external force.
There were three branches of Aether, which Gwen had all of them (as you'd expect) this being: Vivum (Existence), Aevu (Time), and Spatium (Space).
Spatium grants the user the ability to control space, Aevu time, and Vivum the most interesting and potentially powerful, as it was split into four subtypes, which Gwen had all of. This being: Life, Death, Creation, and Destruction. There was another type that was even beyond those, but it wasn't one that Gwen could use, not yet. This being fate itself. Her Aether core was exceptionally powerful, far beyond Arthur's thanks to the influence of all of her characters. The core itself could be strengthened by creating more "Layers" which would get rid of impurities within the core, increase her aether reserves, and increase her control over it. And as of right now, she had three layers, all stronger than Arthurs by a long shot, and that would only continue to grow.
It was due to the influence of Arthur and Seris, that her cores began to gain color, allowing her to "Cultivate" her cores to higher "levels" the levels being: Black, Red, Orange, Yellow, Silver, White, and Integration Phase. Each of these have three stages, this being "Dark Stage" "Solid Stage" and "Light Stage" except for Silver core which is "Initial" "Mid" and "High". While the White Core and Integration have no such things.
The lighter the color of her cores, the purer they were. The purer they were, the more power she'd have, giving her a larger pool of power to call on, higher quality energy/power, and more control over that energy/power. And her cores from what she could tell, were only made up of her many many forms of magical energy (mana, magic, magick, etc).
And through "Cultivating" these cores, she had managed to get to Orange Core at the Solid
Stage. This had massively increased the power of her magic, by several times over, and it would only continue to increase as she "purified" the cores she had.
She knew that she would inevitably start getting cultivation characters, so she decided to get
used to the idea of meditating a lot more, and "Breaking through" to new "Levels" like they did. Afterall, cultivation characters were overpowered as hell, so she wasn't going to complain about it.
Besides growing that, she had also been getting used to her Speed Force and Negative Speed
Force, the two of them working surprisingly well together in her body, as she grew used to the
immense increase in speed that allowed her to travel around the entire world in less than a second.
At the moment Gwen stood in her room, looking out of her window, gazing at the Atlas ships
that were landing. A clear indicator that James Ironwood had arrived, and the Vytal Festival was going to begin within the coming weeks.
With the arrival of them, it also meant that the invasion would happen, at least normally. But
thanks to Gwen's existence, that was not going to happen. It also meant that Gwen needed to
up her pace, as she planned on wiping out Salem after the festival was over, and then getting out of this world.
Looking at the ships and the people walking out of them, Gwen only had one thought on her
mind.
