"Hello, I am Sofia Betty, the Saintess of the Sea God Church. I snuck out today, and I’m very sorry if I’ve disturbed you by accident!"

She looked around and faintly saw a group of people dressed differently from the ordinary shoppers, nonchalantly surveying the business district.

She gestured to Sofia to duck down, and Sofia, instantly understanding, quietly hid behind a shelf.

After the group had left, Lanxiaoyu then signaled to Sofia.

When Sofia stood up, Lanxiaoyu quietly said:

"Aren’t you the Saintess of the Sea God Church? Why are you in the commercial district now, looking like you’re under control?"

Sofia tilted her head, looking curiously at Lanxiaoyu, and said, "Are you the one that the Earth Mother God Church has proclaimed to all the major powers as a citizen from the Harvest Goddess’ Divine Country?"

Sofia’s words stunned Lanxiaoyu. Did all these players have "Shangtiya" inscribed on their foreheads?

How come every NPC could tell they were players?

But that wasn’t right either. During her time in the Royal Capital, as long as she didn’t exhibit extremely abnormal behaviors, ordinary residents couldn’t sense anything unusual about her.

The ones who could identify them right away were mainly the Priests of the Earth Mother God Church.

Apparently sensing Lanxiaoyu’s confusion, Sofia softly laughed and said:

"Don’t be curious. The blessing of the earth’s bounty that permeates you is all too obvious to someone born of the Sea God Church like me."

Lanxiaoyu nodded and said, "Yes, in your terms, we are citizens of Shangtiya, but more often, people seem to prefer calling us Undead."

"In your eyes, what exactly are we, the Undead, or rather, the Earth Mother God’s blessings?"

Sofia pondered a moment, then truthfully said, "Simply put, your current bodies are but appearances, special forms fashioned from the Earth’s power.

Though they appear no different from flesh-and-blood bodies, even if your bodies are destroyed, they will be resurrected by the replenishment of the Power of Earth.

Of course, if someone were to destroy the very essence of your existence, your souls would no longer be able to rely on flesh-and-blood bodies constructed by the Power of Earth, and your so-called resurrection would be out of the question."

Lanxiaoyu was stunned. Wasn’t this just being banned?

She opened her mouth, astonished, and said, "Can you really do something like that?"

"Of course, something like this..."

Sofia’s hand gently pressed onto Lanxiaoyu, and a soft power flowed into her, causing her body to sway slightly. She looked at the blinking text on the system panel with panic.

Hearing the system’s notification, Lanxiaoyu panicked. What was going on? Why had she suddenly been affected by an abnormal state?

She looked at Sofia in alarm and finally said in a low voice, "Can this state be removed?"

So pure that... this girl seemed to have never experienced war at all, filled with feminine intellect, like a well-bred noble lady who had not engaged in farm work, possessing decent knowledge in the judgment of Divine Arts...

If this were on the continent, upon first sight, Sofia might even have thought she was a lady who had stealthily escaped from her home.

But the Undead’s every word and action were too merry, nothing like someone who had been through noble education.

Just seeing this Undead allowed Sofia to glimpse an iceberg’s tip of the Shangtiya Divine Country...

An idyllic kingdom that hadn’t experienced war in a long time, with high cultural education and plenty of food and clothing.
