Picking Up Fragments

Chapter 133 Reconstructing the Scene

In the airdrop crate, there was a Groza. Jiang Siming rarely picked up this gun, but its power was immense, and it could only be equipped with a suppressor—no compensator could be used.

Just as he came ashore, Jiang Siming received bad news—Wei Shen and the others were wiped out for nothing.

They were caught between two teams, and all three of them were killed without scoring any points.

"There was nothing we could do. It's a good thing Old Jiang didn't come, or we might have been wiped out too."

Wei Shen didn't blame Jiang Siming and was actually relieved.

But Jiang Siming knew that if he had been there, things wouldn't have turned out this way. It was his fault this time—because of that shard, Wei Shen and the others suffered a silent loss.

"This one's on me, but don't worry, brothers, I will avenge you."

Jiang Siming said confidently. The two teams that killed them were Thailand's AG and Japan's BB teams.

It showed that Team BB provoked Xiao Xingmu and the others, and after the fight, AG came in for a sneak attack.

Caught from both sides, 4am was unfortunately taken down.

"This isn't your fault. Haven't you already carried us with enough points? It was just bad luck this time. Don't worry, just play your game," Wei Shen consoled.

"Brother Jiang, how about you use a crossbow and go full stealth again? It's the island map, so you could probably sneak your way to a chicken dinner," Xiao Xingmu suggested.

It was true that if Jiang Siming chose to play stealthily, with his camouflage skills, getting into the top ten would be no problem at all.

But Jiang Siming firmly refused.

"Playing stealth is too boring, and the score will be low. This time, I'm going to go all out and see how many kills I can get." Jiang Siming said with a serious expression.

Xiao Xingmu and the others were all stunned. Did that mean... he hadn't been playing at full strength this whole time? He's been holding back?

Is this guy some kind of monster?

This thought popped into the minds of all three.

As Jiang Siming got serious, he even sat up straight and stopped talking to Wei Shen and the others, focusing intently on the screen.

Retrieving his car from the shore, he headed straight toward the school.

Not long after, while passing L Harbor, his car was shot at. The attackers were three people, likely the teammates of the unlucky guy who had come looking for the airdrop earlier.

Jiang Siming got hit twice, but with his level three armor, he barely lost any health.

He zigzagged his car, not slowing down, and charged toward L Harbor.

The three members of Team AW1 were shocked to see Jiang Siming not fleeing but charging right at them. They knew it was Jiang Siming in the car after their teammate died earlier.

Seeing him driving straight at them, the three of them suddenly panicked. Dude, you're taking this game too seriously—we're three people!

But Jiang Siming didn't care. He sped into L Harbor, forcing the three to shoot even harder, trying to bring him down.

However, Jiang Siming's driving skills were so good it seemed like he had cheats on. He swerved left and right, and while they could hit the car, they couldn't touch him inside.

Just as the car was about to explode, Jiang Siming had already made it into L Harbor. He jumped out of the car and ran toward the three's position.

The AW1 trio wasn't about to back down either. They immediately turned around, intent on surrounding Jiang Siming.

For the sake of their pride as professional players, they couldn't just run away from L Harbor. If they did, they'd be laughed at by the entire audience for being driven out by a single player. How humiliating would that be?

The three spread out to search but stayed close enough to support each other if anything happened.

One AW1 member, who was on the far right, had just crossed the road when he heard footsteps behind him, startling him into turning around.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Only to find the barrel of Jiang Siming's Groza aimed right at his forehead. Two quick bursts, and he was already on the ground.

"Here! Over here!"

The other two rushed over at the same time, aiming their guns at Jiang Siming.

This scene was reminiscent of the group match where Jiang Siming had faced two TL members alone with a big machine gun.

Back then, he didn't even have micro-control skills, yet he still managed to wipe out TL, though he lost a lot of health in the process.

But this time, the scene was repeating itself...

Jiang Siming's fingers flew across the keyboard and mouse like butterflies, moving up and down with incredible speed. Wang Duoyu, who was sitting closest to him, even saw an afterimage.

Their shots were fast, but Jiang Siming's shots were even faster, far exceeding their speed by more than a level.

The sound of Groza's bullets was like metal clashing, deep and heavy.

After locking onto one of his targets, Jiang Siming fired three headshots, and immediately flicked his mouse.

In the camera view, no one saw the scope move. They only saw the screen flash, and Jiang Siming's holographic sight was already on the next opponent's head.

Tat-tat-tat...

Another three shots, and he holstered his gun, not even wasting a single bullet.

This entire maneuver happened in the blink of an eye.

In less than a second, just as the two AW1 members raised their guns to aim and shoot, Jiang Siming had already completed all of his actions.

In other words, before the two AW1 members could even fire a single shot, Jiang Siming had already killed them both.

It was simply unreal. Who could move that fast?

First, he killed one, then instantly aimed at the second and killed him too. There was no noticeable gap between the actions.

If not for the referees repeatedly verifying it, even the Chinese audience would have thought Jiang Siming was using cheats.

This was no different from using an aimbot! Does this guy even need to aim? It was terrifying!

Untouched and unscathed, Jiang Siming's level 3 armor was still intact after taking out the entire team.

The loot boxes dropped another white shard.

"Picked up [Projectile Rebound] white shard *1 (2/2), shard count complete, can be used immediately."

With the skill shards collected, Jiang Siming clicked to use them, then looted a frying pan and an SKS sniper rifle from their boxes.

After grabbing some meds, he hopped into their car without looking back and drove off to the next location.

The info in the top-right corner of the screen was visible to all the players from every team.

They all winced—this guy really was a squad-wiping maniac. From the group stage until now, who knows how many teams he'd wiped out solo?

Many players felt a chill just hearing his name. This guy was a demon!

The most terrified teams right now had to be Japan's team and Thailand's team. They had just wiped out three members of 4am, and now Jiang Siming had eliminated AW1.

If Jiang Siming found them, he definitely wouldn't let their teams go.

They were just hoping someone else would take out this demon before he got to them. They didn't want to be the next target.

"Everyone stay sharp and keep your eyes peeled," the captains of both teams gave orders at the same time, feeling incredibly uneasy. This was unbearable.

If they had known this would happen, they wouldn't have targeted 4am. Not only did the two teams split the measly three points, but now they had to face Jiang Siming's wrath.

Especially the Thai team. They regretted it deeply—why couldn't they resist the temptation to attack?
