Chapter 86 According to Plan
According to Plan
As the various armies realised that their preparations were for naught and the Legend Sword Shards had been taken in the end, they all picked up the pace.
Being led by Christopher's subordinates, they all did their best to reach the Voidwalkers main base and stop them before they succeeded in whatever they were trying to do.
Christopher however, knew that it was pointless. By the time they arrived, the Sword would have been assembled and the Void's avatar would have been summoned.
In other words,.they were all going there to die.
'But not if I have anything to say about it.'
As he had that thought, vast amounts of water suddenly started To get transported in his dimension. Vast being hundreds of thousands of litres of water that poured in endlessly.
'Well that's kinda inefficient… oh nevermind.' He was about to think about why Lenax was transporting the water so inefficiently when all the water he was meant to transport was taken in instantly.
Instantly, and immense body of water appeared in the Dimension at the side of the main thing.
It somehow didn't fall into the emptiness below, and surprisingly, there was a floor to it, and at the floor, a small underwater city could be seen.
Christopher wasted no time and activated the enhancement, and immediately, the water started to change.
It suddenly doubled in size, and the city and its inhabitants began to change as well.
Christopher had sent Lenax to assimilate the merfolk kingdom into the Dimension first due to his powerful Affinity with water, which would make the task significantly easier.
Not to mention that the merfolk kingdom was one of the smaller Kingdoms, so it would be quicker.
The process of assimilating the different nations around the world into his Dimension wouldn't be a quick process and would take a few days at most
After all, there were dozens of nations around the world, each of them quite massive with cities positioned in many different places. So Christopher would have to transport Lenax and Prism to and from multiple times.
Still, he'd still finish before the Voidwalkers finished their plan. That's because they intended to summon the Void's avatar before they reassembled the Legend Sword Shard since doing the latter first would be a catastrophe.
As such, the deed would be done around the same time the armies reached the Voidwalkers base which would result in a massive battle.
'The armies need to keep a consistent pace if they want to meet the Voidwalkers at the right time. If I take my subordinates away to complete the enhancement immediately the remaining requirements are fulfilled, I'll have to have the armies wait since the totem poles require my Mana to work. So their pace will be delayed. It won't be by long, but it will still mess up the plan.' He pondered. Indeed, the totem poles actually required large amounts of Mana to work, and the reason they worked so well was because they were anchored to Christopher's Dimension, and the small Mana they needed was simply to activate that connection.
'But at the same time, I doubt the Voidwalkers will sit still if I take away my subordinates to complete the enhancement and leave the armies to their own accord. Also, Void would have been summoned by that time. They'll all be dead' He hummed to himself.
'Master, why not just delay the Voidwalkers themselves?' Norn suddenly spoke and Christopher perked up.
'Indeed. We can just delay the summoning enough to have the enhancement be completed by the time the Void is summoned.' Scarlet piped up and Christopher considered it.
'That… might work.' He nodded to himself. He had gotten a similar idea before but he didn't act on it because he was certain that the Void's presence would cause a disturbance in fate which would render them immune to being manipulated.
But then again, that would only be the case after the Void had been summoned. Sure the Voidwalkers and their energy was messing with his ability to affect them too much, but then again, his Mana was so pure that very few things could counter it.
As such, he decided to act on it.
From what he could observe through the fate threads, the Voidwalker base was a bit blurry due to the interference of Void energy, but he poured Mana into the Threads and established a stronger connection, allowing him to see what he was doing properly.
In the base, or rather, under it in a massive cavern that was devoid of light, a ritual was currently going on. There were a lot of Voidwalkers moving two and fro, but in the center of the cavern was a large rift in space. From it, Void Creatures poured out of it endlessly, some very powerful ones coming through occasionally.
Surrounding the Circle were these cloaked figures who were doing… something. When Christopher looked closer, he realised that they were giving their life force to allow the rift to grow larger, which was very disturbing to say the least.

And closest to the rift, the Eminence could be seen on his knees, his arms stretched out as if he were embracing something that was coming out of the rift, and to some degree, he was.
Void energy was pouring into his body, and Christopher found out that merely looking at him through fate caused the threads to tremble and show signs of snapping.
However, he was unperturbed. Instead, He started doing what he'd been doing for a while now, and that was weaving.
He found out that the Voidwalkers that were transferring their life force to the rift weren't using their lifeforce alone as in another part of the base, there were numerous large beasts that were struggling intensely as they were bound, but that wasn't all.
There was a dark crystal below them which gradually sucked out their life force and made them weaken gradually, and then these crystals transferred said life force to the Voidwalkers around the rift and used them as conduits to transfer the life force into the rift and make it larger.
When the beasts died, they would then be replaced by another beast that was waiting in place.
Seeing this, Christopher wasted no time and started to play with fate once more.
Suddenly, several of the beasts that were being put in place of their dead predecessors suddenly broke free as their bindings were conveniently 'loose' and allowed them to break free and cause havoc.
In a moment, the supply of life force was slowed down drastically, causing the rift to open at a slower rate and the Void energy entering the Eminence to reduce significantly.
Christopher nodded to himself with some satisfaction. He'd do this a few more times to make sure his plan went according to… well plan.
After that, he focused forward. One perk of having time dilation was that nice time within his dimension flowed faster, then someone completing a task outside the Dimension would be faster than inside of it.
Since time moved faster, Christopher's actions to affect the outside world seemed to occur at insane speeds since he was inside his Dimension. So the rate at which he was manipulating fate was actually 4 times faster than what it should have been if he were outside, which was very convenient for his plans.
However, one downside was that it seemed as though tasks being completed in the outside world were significantly slower than if they were in the Dimension, as such, Lenax and Prism assimilating the Kingdoms of the world into his Dimension appeared quite slow to him. But it didn't matter, they would still finish before the main battle started.
And besides, they were still completing their tasks a lot faster than… actually there wasn't really anything to use as a comparison, but it was still pretty fast.
Lenax put his attention to all the water based civilisations since that would be significantly faster with his Affinity, while Prism focused on the land based civilisations.
As such, his Dimension had already gained a few hundred miles worth of mass and was still rapidly growing, and Christopher could feel the place getting larger through his soul.
He watched as the various cities and groups of people were confused for a moment before being hit with terrible pain, then everything was enhanced and their loyalty was pointed to him.
Christopher imagined that the various armies would not be happy seeing their homes suddenly gone. But then again it was likely they would be assimilated before they had the chance to return to where their Kingdoms used to be anyway.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Christopher didn't really feel guilty, both because he knew that his actions would make their lives better, and the fact that if he didn't do this, then the chances were that everyone in this world would die.
So he carried out his actions dutifully and without hesitation, wanting everything to go smoothly.
