Chapter 129 Freedom?

"Shit…" Julian coughed blood while lying on the steel floor of the fighting pit with the hole in his chest bleeding profusely.

"I-I am about to die…"

"Argh…" Kiernan stood up to return to fighting, but then Galahad walked over to him and stomped his feet on his knee.

CRACK!

"ARGH!" Kiernan screamed hoarsely with pain.

Galahad's stomp shattered his knee and broke his leg.

"Y-you fucker…" Julian weakly said. "You—you just can't die, huh?"

"Ngh…" Galahad stumbled backwards and touched his bleeding chest. "W-why the hell am I bleeding?"

When he looked over to the watching pirates, he could see all the scornful and ridiculing looks. It was clear that he had lost plenty of respect today.

'I don't fucking care!' Galahad shouted. 'I'm not here to become a pirate again. Why would I? I am just here to kill these two fuckers and retrieve the rest of my wealth!'

"K-Kiernan, you failed to kill him, you bastard…" Julian said weakly while feeling surprisingly cold.

"M-my bad…" Kiernan whispered as he was too injured to stand up. "I-I'll take the responsibility."

"Y-yeah, you should…" Julian said weakly. "I-I am about to die… Fuck, then no one will remember what happened to my family… except you, if you survive…"

"I-It isn't looking good…" Kiernan said. "I-I thought about running, but my leg is now shattered. It's looking very shitty…"

"Hah…" Julian laughed, and immediately after, coughed blood. "I-I guess this is also partly my fault. W-we shouldn't have robbed him…"

"So it was you…" Galahad said while struggling to speak. "It looks like Jason and Tobias were your fake aliases, huh? Kiernan, was it? What is yours, shithead?"

"Julian Noah… better remember it, fucker…" Julian laughed. "I will see you in the afterlife!"

"Hmph!" Galahad crouched in front of Kiernan, grabbed him by the hair, and raised his fist. "I'll kill you first."

"Hah, is the hole in your chest stinging?" Kiernan laughed. "Y-you're panicking. Scared of dying, are you?"

Galahad gritted his teeth and was about to punch, but then a loud shout reverberated across the fighting pit and the surrounding area.

"Stop!" The announcer shouted with a sweaty look. "We have a shocking announcement!"

"The hell?" Galahad gritted his teeth and turned to the announcer. "What the hell is so important?!"

"The two slaves have just received their freedom!" The announcer shouted. "Mister Ambrose Galemaul had bought their freedom!"

When the words left his mouth, the pirates exclaimed, and they all turned to look at the captain of the Silver Hunt pirates! Your journey continues on empire

It was shocking!

The pirates rarely bought freedom for anyone!

"What?!" Galahad screamed. "No. I won't allow that. These are my kills!"

He turned back to Kiernan and was about to punch, but then someone grabbed him by the elbow and stopped his punch.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Are you disrespecting the pirate code, you filthy retiree?" Ambrose asked coldly while holding his arm.

"…" Galahad gritted his teeth and turned to him with a sharp look. "You want to make an enemy out of me?"

"Yeah," Ambrose said. "Am I supposed to fear you? I have seen scarier-looking barnacles than you."

"These slaves are nothing!" Galahad shouted. "You just wasted your money."

"I will be the one to decide on that. Now go; you're bleeding all over the floor…" Ambrose clicked his tongue. "It's becoming quite a mess."

"Tch!" Galahad pushed him aside and walked away while covering the hole in his chest.

He was moving rather quickly to retrieve some of his medical potions that would be able to save him. The medicine in this world was very powerful and effective.

Ambrose retrieved a small flask of potion from his pocket and let Julian drink it all, which immediately started to heal up the hole in his chest.

When he finished drinking it, Julian fell asleep.

"You as well…" Ambrose forced Kiernan to drink another flask, which put him unconscious as well.

Splash, splash, splash!

The waves crashed against the hull of the ship. A silver-sailed ship wobbled through the tall waves of the World Sea.

A large storm had surrounded them, and the sky was almost black from all the dark clouds. A rumble echoed in the distance, and then silver lightning flashed through the sky.

Within the ship, a young man groaned loudly and fluttered his eyes open weakly.

"W-what the hell?" Julian rubbed his eyes, and as he tried to stand up, he groaned in pain and saw that his chest was bandaged fully.

The wrapped bandages were right on top of the hole. However, when he touched his chest, he couldn't feel the hole anymore.

It was fully closed in.

"Where the hell…?" Julian looked around the strange cabin and then saw Kiernan sleeping in the bed across the cabin.

"Yo, Kiernan!"

Kiernan's eyes fluttered open, and then he also let out a soft groan. As he stood up, he touched his right knee, which was still stinging in pain.

The shattered knee was no more. It was somewhat healed, but there was still some after pain left.

"Where the hell are we?" Kiernan asked, looking around at the unfamiliar surroundings.

"No idea, but before everything went dark, did I hear that someone paid for our freedom?" Julian asked. "Or is this the afterlife?"

"Nah, this isn't the afterlife…" Kiernan murmured.

"How do you know?" Julian asked.

Without giving him the answer, Kiernan stood up carefully. "I heard the name "Ambrose," so we must be on board his ship. It looks like a pirate bought our freedom."

"We're in the sea…" Julian looked out of the window at the raging waters. "So we left the Pirate Kingdom."

"I don't know whether this is good or not, but at least we're alive." Kiernan said and dropped down on his bed.

"Hmm, but we're still on board a pirate ship. He healed us and brought us here for a reason." Julian said. "We're not free yet!"

"Yeah, we must talk to that person." Kiernan said.

However, at that moment, someone knocked on the door.

When the door opened, the man they were looking for—Ambrose—walked in with a tray of food in hand.

"Oh, you're awake, good~" Ambrose smirked and put the tray on the table, but then the waves rocked the ship side to side, and the tray almost fell off.

"Be careful not to spill the food everywhere; this storm is quite nasty!"

"Why are we here?" Julian asked. "What do you want from us?"

"Haha, straight to the questions, I see." Ambrose laughed. "Alright, I will tell you."
