Chapter 164 The Governor's Son
He approached Anna and Aldric. His expression still showed surprise when he saw the woman who was obviously due to her appearance with a different style.
"Weston!" Anna greeted him with a faint smile.
"You look very different," Weston said.
"However, I must say that you are very beautiful and impressive," he added, complimenting Anna openly.
His gaze seemed to hide a clear passion that Aldric could sense.
Of course, given Anna's beauty, it was not strange for men of her age to admire her to the point of liking her.
Right after he complimented Anna, he finally became aware of the presence of Aldric, a handsome young man with a stout and tall body.
He was very surprised when he saw him but strangely his expression seemed uncomfortable.
He knitted his brows with narrowed eyes, as if suspecting something.
"Anna, who is this young man?" he asked Anna.
His voice became rather quiet when he asked that.
Anna remained calm and didn't seem to be thinking about his reaction.
"His name is Aldric, he's a fellow who has helped me a lot," she replied.
"I'm here to help him meet with the Governor of Eldoria." She even explained why she had come, which was to help Aldric.
Hearing that, Weston's gaze went blank for a few moments.
"Weston, you can help us meet the governor, right?" asked Anna as the man fell silent.
"What exactly are you meeting the governor for?" He answered by asking back.
If there wasn't something disturbing his mood, he would naturally easily agree with Anna, but now it was a little different.
"I'm sorry Waston, but we can't tell you our reason," Anna said in a low voice.
She couldn't answer this question so Waston knitted his brows.
"Meeting the governor is not as easy as you might think. Even I can only meet his son and ask his help to meet his father," Waston said.
This was his way but since he was already an important figure in Eldoria Province, the governor's son almost always helped him to meet his father.
Only, now he felt that he would only help them meet the governor's son.
Anna knitted her brows slightly for a moment while still looking calm.
She then nodded.
"Okay, meeting his son is enough," she said.
She was sure the governor's son knew about this mission, so they could ask him.
She also didn't want to push Waston too hard, especially since she knew quite well what the man was thinking.
Waston nodded slowly, then signaled for them to follow him.
Aldric and Anna followed him.
At this point, Aldric felt a little confused. Why suddenly this man didn't seem so friendly anymore.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
He looked at Anna, wanting to ask a question but obviously not right now because Waston would surely hear him.
They walked into the center of city and finally stopped in front of a very large wooden house with three floors and a large courtyard full of flowers around it.
Not long after they arrived, a young man came out of the house, looking to have a friendly personality as he showed a genuine smile.
"Brother Waston, what brings you to my house?" he said to Waston who was standing beside the road while facing his house.
He called him brother even though they didn't seem to match in age.
However, it was quite good considering he was even stronger than Waston, being at the 4th Stage of Senior Magician, just like Aldric.
His eyes looked at Aldric and Anna who were standing behind Waston.
He observed them in turn and realized that Aldric was very unpredictable while Anna he regarded as a woman who had an impressive appearance and aura.
"Tommy!" Waston greeted him first.
After that, he explained about Anna and Aldric coming from the Eldorn Region without explaining too much such as that they wanted to meet the governor.
Of course, even if he said that, it was a little difficult since he didn't know the purpose of them meeting the governor.
Hearing Waston's explanation, Tommy showed an interested expression.
"Well, how about we talk inside my house," he said to Aldric and Anna.
He did not refuse because he realized they were not ordinary. If they were insignificant ordinary people, he would naturally ignore them right away.
Meanwhile, Waston replied, "Tommy, I'm just dropping them off. I still have something I want to take care of..."
He left immediately after saying that, much to Tommy's surprise.
It was as if he was wondering what was wrong with him because he wasn't his usual self.
"Mr. Tommy." Anna called out to the man before the latter took a step into his house.
She seemed to be saying their purpose right here.
"We're not here for anything troublesome, we just want to ask about the mission issued by the governor to steal in the Torgan Tribe. We came for that mission," she said, surprising Tommy who almost always showed a relaxed expression.
"Where did you hear about this mission?" he asked.
This was, as expected, indeed a secret mission. Even Waston didn't seem to know.
Perhaps the governor was also only spreading the word about this mission to people he deemed to have the courage to carry it out given the level of difficulty and risk.
"We naturally have a way to get this information. No matter what, there's hardly a wall that can't be breached," Anna replied with a thin, confident smile.
"And we also have the confidence to carry out this mission," she added.
"Ohhh..." The governor's son, Tommy, seemed to be getting more and more interested in them because of Anna's confidence.
"If you want this mission, we will naturally give it to you as well," he said.
"Of course, for details, we need to meet with my father because even I don't know the details of what kind of mission you need to steal in the Torgan Tribe..."
"Sure, please take us to meet the governor," Anna replied in her soft voice.
"Come on!" Tommy then walked to a different place, signaling for them to follow him.
Anna took the first step while winking her left eye to Aldric which was a sign to follow the man.
This surprised him a little because usually people only need to signal with hand gestures, not with a wink of one eye.
