Isekai Journey Of The Magic Archer

Chapter 986 All energy utilisation

[Eon's POV: ]

It's been three months since we celebrated the first festival, and three months since the headmaster and his 'team' eliminated the evil cultists from the island.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

And, in a few weeks, we are going to have the first term exams… and then the first big vacation.

'Not that we haven't had that many breaks until now. Due to all the things that were happening in the middle of the scheduled breaks, there were more breaks than we had expected.'

However, since this is the first year only, the things that we were going to learn weren't that much.

'It was a lot in general, but there were still various things that were mostly simple.'

At least from the academic point of view, they were comparatively simple things.

'There were some exceptions to that, like the superior and High grade classes.'

In the high magic theory, the things that we learned weren't something just anyone could understand, and many students had already learned that in the first few weeks of their life here.

They could change the classes in the first week so those who could change and were wise enough to understand how being stubborn wasn't going to work here, had changed to something that suited them better.

There were counselling classes here so they even attended that to figure out what was better for them since in this academy, there were genuinely more things that one could study than there were students.

'Some teachers don't receive even one of the students for some turns since those classes aren't popular or are too infamous.'

Master Zarathurielm's All energy utilisation class that Zoe and I were attending right now was one such rare class that only had nine students out of more than four thousand that were in our batch.

Three of them had chosen this class randomly while two of them were unlucky to end up in this class due to peer pressure.

The two of their friends or partners were in the same condition as them, so Zoe and I were pretty much the only people who had chosen this class to learn.

"As we have learned until now, using 'energy' to do something, to live, and to Not do anything is a conscious as well as unconscious process."

Sir Zarathurielm was one of the oldest teachers of the academy, as well as someone who wasn't really that famous in the world.

The students of today didn't know much about him, and those who knew about it didn't really have any interest in the subject that he taught since handling multiple energies wasn't something simple, or something everyone could do.

'Plus, people knew how professionally strict he was with his classes… his classes usually only happened after midnight.'

There were various conditions that blocked one from choosing his class, however, he was one of the only people in this world who had mastered the topic of 'utilising' multiple energies together.

'Plus, in the entire academy, he was the only one aside from the headmasters that knew about the Solnova that Zoe and I possess.'

So, attending his classes was an obvious thing for the two of us who knew very little about the Solnova, the kind of things we can do with it, and how despite being an energy similar to Mana, Aura, or Aether, it was quite different.

"You'll have to understand this when you go about using the energies that you have affinity for and the ones that you cannot control despite your affinity for them…"

His classes were tough. They were filled with highly complex materials that not everyone could understand.

It wasn't just about magic or weapon arts, since this subject was about 'energy' itself, the topics that he usually talked about went from the most basic biology to the most complex reality physics that even the high magic students only learn in their third year.

The things that were included in this subject were too complex for one to understand so the students that were attending this class had no choice but to attend this class if they at least wanted to understand a little of what was being taught since even if we tried, there were many things that we wouldn't understand from just the books.

'Thankfully, as one of the oldest teachers of the academy, Sir knew very well about how to teach the students.'

There was always something that he would do that would become memorable for the students and the students would later understand what he had taught to them in their own way.

His unique teaching style was pretty good, and that was the only reason that the seven of the other students had still remained in this class.

'He wasn't a bad teacher at all, if anything, his ability to simplify any topic given to him was amazing.'

He was great with what he did. And that was one of the reasons his classes were so famous among the teachers who were now teaching their own classes in the academy.

Still, the core of this class, much like any class of the similar category, was about teaching the students what they would need in the future.

"You can also understand this as feeding your cats, haha. It's not always about multifunctional wave equations."

He was a fun teacher that knew his students and adjusted according to them in his teaching sessions, but he had his conditions, and the students also had to adapt to them many times.

[{ "So, big brother… what did Elle say about the next class?" }]

[{ "She's excited, but she doesn't like the idea of dividing the houses. It would be more efficient that way, but then again, it's a combat lesson of all the classes combined.

It's not about houses so there's no need to make this about houses. She's looking forward to fighting the other classes instead." }]

The next class after this one will be the common class of basic magic and weapon understanding.

And the teachers in charge of this subject for each class had decided to have a combined class this time around, with the aim of setting a big real scenario battlefield experience.

They wanted to have all the classes divided in the groups randomly, but we were going to suggest something like dividing by houses since it would be easier.

However, Not only Rein, but also Prince Alph and Liz didn't like that idea since this would turn into something that it shouldn't be.

It was more effective that way than just waiting for random divisions, but I guess we aren't going to do it like that this time.

'The class is going to happen at least, and we will be divided into groups and then we will fight in the artificial battlefield that the teachers might be preparing right now.'

It will be fun and pretty interesting to see all the classes going against one another, all the groups from those classes fighting against one another, and to see how much they all had grown up since the start of this year.

And, all of us were looking forward to it.

[{ "Well, let's have fun then, I guess~." }]

If we weren't divided into houses, the chances were greater that all of us will be in random groups with some being with me and others being with someone else from our group.

The classes would be divided and since there wouldn't be any hierarchy, we would have to decide many things on our own to avoid any kind of internal conflict.

It's going to be a fun activity with the final exams coming and all, but the fact that almost a year has passed since we joined the academy seems pretty unreal.

'Yes a lot of time has passed and a lot of things have happened in that time, but still, the fact that almost nine months have passed seems so odd…'

On one side, the kind of experiences that we all have had in this time is beyond how long has passed. While on the other hand, it seems like it was just yesterday that we all were fighting on an artificial island created by the headmaster's magic.

'The time between the entrance exam and the end of the year exams seems small, it almost feels like we had our midterms a few weeks ago.'

Especially after the first festival that we had…

Not many things had happened after that. We were still doing well in the classes, the teachers were finishing the courses for this term, some were almost done and were on their way for their first revision, while some were speeding up to meet the deadline of the end of the term exams.

"We will keep it till here for today and after two more classes, we should be done as well."

He was done with his class, so he was now open to the questions that we could not ask him when he was teaching, so as soon as he was done, the rest of us raised our hands for questions that we might have noted down during the time he was teaching.

He was nice as long as we did everything how he liked it so the nine of us simply waited this time as well even though the topic that he was teaching was quite complicated.

"Yes, I'll start from the back this time. Tell me, Miss Allen. What questions do you have this time."

His classes were tough but at the same time, the theory part aside, whenever he showed us how actually the things that he was teaching us worked, it was always fun seeing an actual High Elf, master of Mana, Aura, Aether, Archana, Spirit arts, Elementalism, and twelve different energies, use all those distinct energies together in a way that neither Zoe nor I had ever imagined until now.

He was perhaps one of the very few in this world who could actually use all these energies as well as he did, so, he was unlike most of the teachers in this academy who mastered only one thing to near perfection.

'What he taught was tough but, for us two who had an affinity for Solnova, this was the perfect class since among anyone else in this academy, though he could not use this special energy himself, he was the only one who understood it as well as he understood the other energies.'

So, for us, this class was mandatory.

As well as more important than the other classes that we were taking right now.
