Infinite Potential System

Chapter 429 Frostile

As the time passed, William found himself committing more and more time to his Cultivation. He quickly progressed to the peak of the Soul Formation Realm, his Talents and the effects of the Ascension Dragon Tears offsetting the majority of the Ultimate Tribulation's damage.

The Heavens had reached the limit of how strong they could make the Tribulations long ago, so William was unperturbed even after reaching the Tribulation Transcendence Realm. Better yet, the System no longer needed to help him absorb the Superior Cores, so he could absorb them himself while simultaneously Cultivating.

I can Ascend at any time now. William thought as he looked at the Status Panel. His lifespan had finally reached six digits, making him feel invincible in his current state. Even if he were to let the Recovery Talent run wild for years, William would probably still be able to handle the side effects.

As a consequence of breaking past the Soul Formation Realm, William found himself earning thousands of Soul Strength in one go, which only increased as he progressed through the Tribulation Transcendence Realm.

By the time he reached the peak, William had earned back more Soul Strength than what he spent on Ascending the Soul Bound and Summon Resistance Talents. His Soul Inheritance Technique already allowed him to passively gain Soul Strength over time, but it wasn't even close to as exaggerated at this.

In comparison, it would probably take William two or three thousand years to gain twenty thousand Soul Strength normally. Unless he fully upgraded his Soul Cultivation Talent, of course.

Only the Seal, Sound, and Darkness Veins are left on this Continent, then I still need to absorb everything on the Azures Continent...

Anything can happen in these next few months, so I think this is a good time to see my friends once more.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

William stood up from his cross-legged position and flew in a certain direction towards the old Revista Faction's Headquarters.

He said old, because in recent months Gunther and Tia decided to take over as dual Patriarch and Matriarch of the Faction. Following Gunther's enlightenment, he gained an absurdly powerful ability related to the Ice Element that was no less overpowered than one of William's Legendary Talents.

Using this ability and following an altercation between them and a younger member of the Revista Faction, Gunther and Tia suppressed the higher-ups in a much more aggressive manner than William had.

Afterwards, they married and adopted the last name Frostile, changing their new Faction's name to become the same. Tia was a bit sad that William didn't show up for her wedding, but she quickly forgave him when a portal sent her a pair of enhanced Starmetal Staves that attached to her gauntlets.

If she willed it, each Staff would fold many times over and conceal itself within the gauntlet, hidden from view until she wanted to surprise her opponent. As a slight battle maniac, Tia couldn't help but retract her previous negative opinion of William.

While her power saw a large boost because of William's gift, another event had a much more significant impact.

During the marriage ceremony, a rude comment made by one of the guests resulted in Tia's enlightenment related to martial arts, which unfortunately for the guest resulted in their untimely death. She quickly made use of the Starmetal Staves, crippling the man's Dantian with the first strike and shattering his heart on the second.

The Frostile couple weren't the only two to change over the years. No one could remain the same forever, and that stood true for Carl, Charlotte, and Yuming as well.

While none of the three had yet to undergo enlightenment, Charlotte's Life Element had reached its peak potential at C-Rank, and she even learned many Spells that made up for her lack of Affinity with great expertise.

Boosted by her now Soul Formation Realm Cultivation, Charlotte's Life Element was a great asset to Tia and Gunther while maintaining their Faction.

Yuming continued studying Alchemy, and with the occasional tips from William was able to refine peak Tier 8 Pills. He was still very far behind the others in terms of combat power, but Yuming had become a renowned Alchemist of his own, praised as a talented youth beyond his years.

Carl saw the greatest improvement among the group. His Heavenly Mark became stronger and stronger over time, allowing him to contract more and more powerful Magical Beasts as his Cultivation grew.

With the constant battles between Magical Beasts and Heavens' call for supporters, Carl learned how to resist the commands and remain in control of his creatures. He regularly visited the battlefield where Fria and William's Beasts fought, collecting tens of thousands of peak Magical Beasts and storing them into a series of extremely intricate scrolls.

When William and Fria reached the old Revista Faction's palace, the group was enjoying a banquet consisting of hundreds of rare Spirit Food sourced from Magical Beasts. It seemed that Fria's efforts were quite beneficial to the World's food supply.

"Will! You're back!" Charlotte dashed from her seat and ran to William with an open-armed hug, casting a suspicious glance at Fria in the process.

Charlotte had seen William only a few months before, but for a girl her age that was an extremely long time. Not many could withstand being away from their partner for so long, and Charlotte was no exception.

It didn't help that Fria was with William last time, who had been left behind to fight Magical Beasts during his previous visit.

Her only source of solace was that William's feats regularly spread around the World. No matter where she was or what she was doing, she always knew what William was up to at any given moment.

Only when he swapped from one Continent to the next to absorb different Superior Cores would she briefly lose track, but his strength was so absurd at this point that Charlotte had no reason to fear for his safety.

"Who is this?" Charlotte asked with narrowed eyes, her icy tone lowering the room temperature by a few degrees.

William followed Charlotte's gaze to Fria, who was looking at Charlotte in almost the same manner. The only difference was that Fria actually had an Affinity for the Ice Element, so the temperature dropping was literal.

"This is my sister, Fria. Fria, this is Charlotte, my..." William explained quickly before any misunderstandings could form.

"Friend. We're friends." Charlotte explained quickly before William could finish his statement.

Friends? But we spent the night together. William questioned in his mind. In the brief lapse of emotions, William accidentally used his Thought Transference ability, so Charlotte heard everything.

Her expression briefly switched to surprise before her eyebrows furrowed and she mouthed the words "we'll talk" to William.

From William's experience, this gesture was usually the worst sort of omen, but the exchange of words seemed to lighten the mood a little bit between Charlotte and Fria.

They quickly warmed up to each other and held a side conversation while William's other friends called him over to eat some Spirit Food.
