Chapter 104: Being Sentimental Again
Chapter 104: Chapter 104: Being Sentimental Again
She knew all along that this man would not let her off easily!
Su Zixi had a feeling that her premonition was about to come true, which made her gaze extremely wary.
He Jingyao chuckled softly, “Su Zixi, you seem to be quite scared?”
“Not at all!” She stubbornly denied, nervously picking at the door panel.
This man was much taller than she was, and standing so close, she had to look up to see him, naturally putting her at a disadvantage.
“Come with me to the study,” He Jingyao said with a faint smile, “the project team has assessed the feasibility and just sent the report to my email. Come and take a look.”
So, it was about work?
So… she had been overthinking things again. Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Su Zixi’s face flushed with embarrassment, and she nodded foolishly, “Okay… sure, I’ll come with you.”
She closed the door behind her, not noticing the teasing smile that briefly crossed the man’s face.
He Jingyao naturally took her small hand… It had to be said, this woman’s conflicted and tangled expressions were irresistibly adorable.
Should he make a move tonight? He pondered, still maintaining a serene expression.
…
He Jingyao’s study was incredibly large; the deep rows of huge bookshelves once again awed Su Zixi.
“Here.” He Jingyao, holding her waist, led her to the desk.
Su Zixi saw there was only one chair and hesitated for a moment before quickly seating herself!
“Hmm?” He Jingyao curled his lips slightly.
Su Zixi said seriously, “Um, I took your seat… you don’t mind, do you?”
With only one chair… if He Jingyao were to sit in it, she might end up having to sit on his lap.
Luckily, she was quick-witted enough!
“No problem, as long as you’re happy,” He Jingyao laughed softly, seemingly unaware of her intentions. Then, he leaned over, his left hand supporting the edge of the desk while his right hand reached from in front of Su Zixi to grab the mouse.
This position firmly encased Su Zixi in his arms.
The intense scent of the man suddenly enveloped her, making her head feel slightly dizzy… her head was pressed tightly against his sturdy chest.
She stiffened, trying to sit up straight without alerting him, but to no avail, as He Jingyao leaned forward, facilitating his opening of the file.
“The application you are working on is aimed at community mutual aid, correct?” He Jingyao asked in a deep voice.
Su Zixi quickly nodded, reining in all her fanciful thoughts.
“I’ve read your feasibility analysis you wrote. The idea is interesting, but still a bit naive,” He Jingyao commented calmly, “Even if all the technical issues are resolved, a community is a relatively complex environment, especially in China. You haven’t taken into account the human relationships, or interpersonal ecology, which is the biggest problem with this application. If this issue isn’t resolved, even if the app is developed, it won’t last long.”
Su Zixi nodded in agreement.
“When we were researching, some team members considered this issue, but since we couldn’t find a better solution, we introduced a third-party system to act as an intermediate…” Su Zixi explained, “But according to our simulated formula, the outcome wasn’t ideal, so we had to downplay this issue.”
What do you think?
