Chapter 193 Story 193: Abraxos, the Survivor

Abraxos, the wyvern of legend, was once a creature of the wild—untamed and feared across the Northern Fang Mountains. His black scales shimmered in the moonlight as he flew high over the peaks, his wings tearing through the sky. He had once been a terror to behold, a beast unmatched, until the fateful day when he was captured and thrown into a cage of torment.

The Blackbeak Clan, infamous for their cruelty, had used him as a tool for their brutal entertainment. For years, Abraxos had suffered—clawed at, whipped, and deprived of freedom. They treated him as nothing more than a pawn in their blood games, a beast that would never escape his chains.

Until she came.

Manon Blackbeak, heir to the Blackbeak throne, saw in Abraxos not a broken wyvern, but a powerful creature who had been wronged. When she rescued him from the pit, Abraxos had been battered, his once-majestic wings torn, and his fangs dull from years of mistreatment. Yet, in his eyes, she saw the fierce spirit that had not been extinguished.

And so, she nursed him back to strength with a mixture of gentleness and steel.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Manon did more than heal his body; she fortified him. His wings, once delicate webs of flesh, were bound with Spidersilk, making them stronger than ever. His broken teeth were replaced with iron fangs, gleaming weapons that could tear through the hardest armor.

And his tail—once a shadow of its former self—was now adorned with grafted spikes, deadly instruments that gave him his rightful place amongst the other wyverns of the Thirteen.

Though his body had been altered, Abraxos remained true to the wild heart within him. He formed a bond with Manon, a connection deeper than any chain or cage could ever bind. Together, they soared through the skies, reclaiming the power and freedom that had once been stolen from them. His roar became the song of vengeance, a reminder to all who heard it that he was no longer a prisoner.

He was a king of the skies once again.

But as the years passed, Abraxos faced a final challenge—the Yielding. It was a battle that would see the end of many wyverns, including his beloved mate, Narene. In the aftermath, Abraxos stood alone, the last surviving member of the Thirteen's wyverns. He roamed the skies with a heavy heart, knowing that the battles he had won had come at a great cost.

But he carried their memory with him, etched into the iron and silk of his wings, and the fire in his heart.

Stay tuned to empire

Abraxos was no longer just a wyvern of the wilds. He was a symbol of endurance, a testament to survival against all odds. His legacy lived on in the mountains, the valleys, and the skies above, where the echo of his wings would forever be heard.

And even in his solitude, Abraxos knew that freedom—no matter how hard-won—was worth every scar.
