Chapter 366 The Bonds Forged with Blood!
"Ho~ You came to meet me?" Hearing an ethereal voice from behind him. But to Wuhan, that voice sounded scary and cold. He even felt a shiver running down his spine.
Taking a deep breath, Wuhan calmed himself down and slowly turned around, his eyes already adjusted to the sudden brightness.
Before him stood a figure, cloaked in darkness despite the glaring brightness around them. After calming down, Wuhan noticed that he was standing in the middle of a garden filled with nothing but blood-red flowers.
There was a bush of flowers that shone differently from the rest and there was a single flower that was glowing the brightest in the middle of the flower.
Seeing the scene, Wuhan felt his heart beating faster and faster with each passing second but he managed to maintain his cool and looked back at the figure who was silently waiting for him to speak.
"Yes, I came to see you," Wuhan replied, his voice remaining steady despite the hatred in his eyes and bitterness in his voice. "I have a question and I seek answers."
The figure stepped forward, its form still obscured by shadows. "Are you finally going to ask about that day?"
The voice, containing a hint of teasing, strangely echoed in the empty space.
"You!!" Wuhan's anger flared but he clenched his fists to stop himself and gritted his teeth. His gaze pierced through the darkness, as he spat coldly "I know fully well what happened that day and the times before that. I do need to hear more of your lies."
A low chuckle emanated from the figure, sending shivers down Wuhan's spine.
"Very well, what do you want to ask? Ask and I shall answer." Wuhan could not understand the intentions of the person standing before him.
"Why would you agree so easily, after what I did to you," Wuhan asked suspiciously. "Shouldn't you hate me?"
"Of course, I will answer your questions. After all…" The figure took a step forward as a result Wuhan took a step backward. "...you are my son."n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
*Boom!*
Wuhan's killing intent flared in rage hearing those words shaking the skies and the air around them, his eyes went bloodshot.
"As for what you did to me… I will get back at you for it, sooner or later." Ignoring the hatred in Wuhan's eyes as if it was never there it continued.
"You are never getting out of this place!!!" Wuhan finally could not handle it and yelled in his rage. "I will never let you."
"We will see about that." The figure waved its hands before walking towards a small gazebo that appeared out of nowhere and took a seat on the stone bench, "continue with what you wanted to ask. I will answer if it is something I deem you worthy enough to know about."
Wuhan could not help but feel annoyed hearing the sarcasm and teasing in the voice.
"Ho come on~ don't sulk like a child. You used to do the same when you were a kid all the time." the figure spoke playfully waving its hands as if calling a child.
"Come have something to drink." Two small cups filled with clear liquid appeared on the table.
Wuhan stood there looking at the figure before walking up to the opposite seat and sat. He picked up the cup and drank it all in one gulp.
*Cough!*
As soon as he drank the cup he started to cough loudly feeling a burning sensation in his throat. He looked at the figure in front of him with a sharp glare who looked away as if it had nothing to do with him.
"You never change…" Wuhan shook his head coldly feeling the burning sensation in his throat washing away slowly.
"Tell me what I want to know and I will leave this place." Wuhan placed the cup back on the table and asked again seriously. "Have you ever heard of The Red Dawn?"
Wuhan watched closely after finally asking the question. He watched as the dark figure in front of him finished its drink before placing it down on the table as well.
After that silence filled the area as none of the two of them spoke for a while.
"Red Dawn huh…" Wuhan shifted in his seat waiting for the figure to complete the sentence. "Never heard of that. Sorry son… anything else you want to know?"
Wuhan could not snap out of his daze seeing how casually the figure declined after such a long pause. He clenched his hands, "what about the disappearance of people and then being controlled?"
"You are talking about the demonic sects?"
Hearing the reply, Wuhan's frustration increased with each passing second. But he did not find any signs of deception in the figure's words.
'But who is to say, everything is not a lie? there is no point in asking anything else if I cannot even trust these words anymore. coming here was a bad idea.' Wuhan took a deep breath before standing up from his seat.
"Leaving already? We haven't seen each other for a while, why don't we catch up on what's happening in the outside world?
"We don't have anything to catch up. I am Emperor now if you have forgotten, I have things to deal with," Wuhan replied coldly without turning back and walked out of the gazebo.
"Indeed you are The Emperor now…" the figure uttered under its breath, "Even though you are not ready, you have to carry these responsibilities so soon because of me."
*Woosh!*
Wuhan suddenly stopped in the middle of his steps and slowly turned around fixing all of his killing intent on the dark figure.
"Did I say anything wrong? You have always taken being ruler as something you have to do because she asked you–"
*Boom!*
"Don't you dare take that name with your mouth, you have no right to point your finger at me." Wuhan flared his qi to the maximum, shaking their surroundings.
*Cracks.*
The air trembled so much that cracks started to appear in the air. The figure stayed silent in its place as the cracks around the air started to spread.
*Shatter!*
Wuhan turned around as everything around him shattered like glass, behind him was a dimly lit room, and several chains could be seen suspended in the air bound against a coffin in the middle of the air.
