Chapter 130 Valhalla Will Know Me
Amena was a super maid. She always got everything done, no matter the request. Alicarde had asked her for a ten-page essay on such short notice, and she had delivered… yes, delivered him to his grave.
If he had to say, he didn't blame her. How could he? After all, he was the one who told her to use his own tone and keep his personality in mind.
If anything was to blame, it was his shitty personality.
'Why am I the way I am?'
"What are you waiting for? Continue."
Malefica's voice cut through the room like a cold blade against his heart. Staring at the last few paragraphs of his essay, he knew it was over for him. The words written there would no doubt screw him over.
If there was any consolation, it was the fact that they were all indirect and off-hand remarks—truly his way of doing things.
If he didn't know better, he'd think he wrote those words in a moment of mad defiance against the system.
Yes, he wanted to stick it to the man… or in this case, the woman.
He took a deep breath, mentally brushing with Malefica's mind telepathically.
"Am I in trouble... I mean, can I get a chance to explain myself?"
"Hello again, Reaper. Why are you contacting me during the day? I told you I have classes, and it seems one of my wayward students doesn't want an academic career."
"Malefica, you... you can't stoop to my level."
"Huh? What do you mean? An old spinster like me doesn't have the patience to deal with young people, seeing how I never had children."
"...."
'Yep, it's official. I'm screwed. You know things are about to go south when a woman starts calling herself a spinster.'
"Mister Asad, I will not repeat myself. Continue."
"Ahhh, y-yes, ma'am."
He had no choice but to comply. The classroom buzzed with murmurs, but what really pissed him off was Liam and Marcus at the back, cameras rolling.
"Marcus, zoom in. I want to see this clearly."
"Way ahead of you, man."
He could hear their words even from where he stood.
Behind him, the three pioneers stared at him like he had just sacrificed everything for one moment of glory.
"That's the boss for you."
"What a guy."
"I can't believe he'd give up everything for one moment of glory. What a man... no, the GOAT."
The three of them were nearly in tears—tears of admiration.
"Mister Asad, continue!"
Her stern tone snapped him back to reality. He had no choice but to press on. The next part of the essay was already on display, leaving the class wondering if he had the guts to continue.
"A professor is one to be respected, as the old Ming saying goes: 'A teacher for a day is a father for life,' even if... even if said teacher was a spinster who had... had... ne-never held the hand of a man much... less had any children."
Alicarde gulped, his voice almost a whisper at this point.

"So what if she hasn't experienced childbirth and doesn't know the pain of raising a child? So what if she is a witch? That's no reason to bring up her ginormous breasts, which have never been sucked by man or child."
He realized there was no way out now. He had accepted his fate, smiling in the face of impending doom. He decided to go out in a blaze of glory.
'If I reach Valhalla, all the legends will know me as a martyr.'
With that thought, he resolved to settle the matter with Malefica later, likely behind closed doors—if he wasn't expelled, that is.
In the back of the classroom, Liam had the face of a director who had just found his star actor.
"He's done it. He's ruined his life for a moment of fame."
He felt like shedding a tear.
"Marcus, keep it rolling. We have to record his final moments."
Alicarde noticed their antics and smiled back with the expression of a martyr.
'Thank you, brother.'
Malefica, however, simply glared. Their idiocy didn't escape her, but she just wanted him to finish already.
"Mister Asad, continue. We don't have all day."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
"Yes, ma'am."
"With that in mind, I say unto you all, a professor is a sage, wise and benevolent. We should treat them with utmost respect. We do not know the pains of being single after the age of fifty, and hopefully, we never will. With that, I conclude my presentation. Thank you for listening."
Malefica sighed. At this point, she wasn't even angry anymore. She had to commend his guts. She was certain something was off with him mentally—after all, she was his therapist. She would know.
"Next, step up," she called out, her patience waning.
The rest of the class proceeded uneventfully. Felix delivered a tear-filled apology, although it was clear the tears were fake. Alec made an absurd comparison between student-professor relationships and dog training, earning him a few boos from his peers. Lastly, Akimitsu delivered a solemn prayer for the professors, further exhausting Malefica.
Finally, the boys stood in silence, waiting for her judgment. Alicarde occasionally fidgeted with a wry smile, while Felix, Alec, and Akimitsu looked at him with sparkling admiration.
Malefica's voice cut through the tension.
"A job well done, I suppose. You've all avoided expulsion or rustication. You may go."
The boys heaved a sigh of relief and began to make their way back to their seats.
"Except you. See me in my office immediately," Malefica said, locking eyes with Alicarde.
He nodded, accepting his fate.
"Yes, ma'am. I'll be there."
With that, she dismissed the class. Alicarde watched her leave with a sigh as Marcus and Liam rushed over, still recording.
"Any final words for our audience? They've followed this story for so long."
"Yeah, I do have some words. Screw you guys... no, better yet, screw yourselves."
With a forced smile, he walked away while Liam addressed the camera with the other boys.
'How the hell do I appease that witch?'
Those were his final thoughts as he left the classroom to face Malefica… again.
What do you think?
