Chapter 440 - 202 Cain Empress (Seeking Monthly Tickets)_5
For General Winter and Mei Xiang among others, the ancient city was indistinguishable from any other mountains, rivers, or lakes.
"Perhaps this is not so bad."
General Winter naturally would not give up the ancient city, although it showed no signs of development and was as useful as a chicken rib—an old man would not give up either.
It was a matter of principle and bottom line.
"What do you mean?"
"Let’s not hurry, let’s wait and see."
General Winter, "You return to the Hundred Flowers Mountain Range first, gather the troops there, and tell Tulip Girl I need her to lead the troops to meet the formidable enemy."
"Yes!"
Mei Xiang departed for the Hundred Flowers Mountain Range.
There was a garrison there under the command of Tulip, a powerful warrior from Queen of Spring under Count Thorn.
"One, two, three..."
Lyon, with closed eyes, keenly sensed the number of entities imbued with Miracle Power within the ancient city shrouded in fog: "One Dark Elf, one Living Doll, two Transcendent Levels, and the rest are rats hiding in dark corners. These must be the subordinates of the Lord of the Birch Trees that Bailuo mentioned."
Although the ancient city was large, it was but a city after all.
The reason Miracle Troop Types guarded this place was because Count Thorn had a barracks nearby the ancient city, and General Winter just happened to live secluded in the snowy mountains.
If we really were to evaluate by level, the ancient city and Coral City would belong to the same tier.
But Count Thorn was not like Immortal Hawk; it was unlikely to station a Master here, at most a Heroic Level, perhaps fools of the same caliber as city lords.
"It’s a bit boring."
Lyon muttered to himself, and at his feet, shadows turned into a mire, continuously churning: "The other party seems to have no intention of making a move, are they planning to wait for me to clear up first?"
"Haha."
Lyon laughed, resting his hand on his forehead, his mismatched eyes full of mockery: "What’s going on? Their own city, waiting for others to clean up, is that General Winter really such a joke?"
Why didn’t General Winter make a move?
Because he was waiting for Lyon to act first, or rather, he intended to use the Miracle Power of Lyon’s invasion to cleanse the ancient city like a great flood.

There were various powers in the ancient city, among which there were almost none that Count Thorn could afford to offend.
Count Thorn was not Bailuo.
Bailuo had a multitude of Miracles, though most of them were undeveloped, the potential was enormous. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
With potential comes confidence, and with confidence, fear is absent.
But the Earl was different; he had only one Miracle and was naturally timid, hardly taking risks.
"All right then."
Lyon did not mind being used as a pawn by General Winter, as the latter’s intentions were very clear.
That was to let Lyon offend Dark Elf, Lord of the Birch Trees, and Cain Empress, then take advantage of the situation.
As long as he claimed to be ’quelling rebellion,’ General Winter could rebuild the ancient city ravaged by Lyon without offending any party.
It was Lyon who would act first and destabilize the Lord of the Birch Trees’ chess pieces and the Dark Elves’ strongholds.
"Although it’s somewhat irritating," Lyon said, "I can do as you wish."
This was General Winter’s overt plan, yet Lyon took it lightly.
The premise of General Winter’s plan was that he could reclaim the ancient city beaten down by Lyon.
Yet, even General Winter could not have anticipated that the invasion of the ancient city wasn’t by any King-level troop but by a Miracle Entity— a Middle-ranking Miracle Person, the Greedy World’s great wolf, Catastrophe Ash Crazy King.
"Boom!"
Shadows splashed like exploding black ink.
"Huff~~ Huff~~"
Within the cemetery, stormy black mists spiraled in the air.
"Swoosh swoosh swoosh!"
They fell from the sky, coalescing into Blood Moon Hunters wearing cloaks and hats—the People of Yatun.
"Where is this?"
"A graveyard?"
"Have we reached the ancient city? Is this my Blood Moon Hunter form?"
"..."
Though the People of Yatun had not rehearsed, each being a dispersal of an original consciousness with completely consistent judgement and action principles, none panicked and soon adapted to their new bodies.
"Roar! General Ben Ineya is finally leading troops into battle?!"
The woman, clad in standard Blood Moon Hunter gear, unlike the others’ calmness, shouted loudly upon arrival, instantly warming the atmosphere of the cemetery by several degrees.
"Inya, remember we’re not here on a trip."
Alaya walked out of the darkness with a smile, her weapon different from Inya’s—a tremendous Cross Sword.
"Could you be a bit more serious, Inya?"
Jiera’s voice had a cold edge; she felt Inya always spoiled the mood, much to her dismay: "We are here as God’s representatives to punish the wicked."
"Yeah, Jiera, you’re still so chuunibyou."
"!!!"
Jiera blushed furiously: "I-I am not chuunibyou!"
"My brother said this is chuunibyou."
"You..."
Jiera turned to argue with Inya but was taken aback by her elder sister: "Huh? The Queen is here too?"
"What Queen, it’s me!"
Because of the Blood Moon Hunter’s template form, Inya no longer looked like a young girl but appeared to have grown into her twenties.
Inya bore an extreme resemblance to Isefia, and with some effort, could even pass as her in disguise.
"Inya?"
"It’s me."
However, Inya suddenly changed her tone, her voice cooling somewhat, becoming much more serious.
"Sis... Sister?"
Confused, Jiera was taken by surprise; Inya had imitated her perfectly, embodying her elder sister’s noble chill to the fullest extent.
"Pfft hahaha."
Seeing Jiera deceived, Inya laughed heartily and without image: "Jiera, are you stupid? You know I’m the only one here, and still you doubt it’s my sister, hahaha."
What do you think?
