Upgrade and Rowan

'I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that something so versatile was also ridiculously fucking dangerous. Ah well best move on to the ability tickets since I am curious to see what I get' I thought before sending a quick prayer to RNGESUS and tearing the tickets. Like usual the tickets turned into rainbow colored smoke and a roulette wheel formed from the smoke with all the possible options on it. The wheel spun for a minute before stopping on Earth manipulation for the first ability and then spinning again for yet another minute before stopping on the upgraded version of an ability I already had, Plant manipulation.-

Once my new abilities were chosen by RNGESUS the roulette wheel burst back into rainbow colored smoke that flew into my body and I groaned and grit my teeth as they integrated themselves within my aura and body. My aura itself surged as both abilities bolstered it causing my stores of energy to grow larger and more powerful. As for coloration a bit more green and now brown appeared within my aura not that it made any real difference since my aura was already nearly rainbow colored.-

Once that was done I couldn't help but wonder if I was starting to become a discount Arceus as my abilities were starting to cover every facet of the world. No seriously I had, space, water, earth, plants, sound, emotions and aura already. Anyways plant manipulation was merely the upgraded version of the minor plant manipulation ability I had already possessed before now and only made that power stronger without adding anything new so I ignored it. Earth manipulation however was an entirely different matter. I flexed the ability and the ground under me shifted and moved as I willed as a brown glow covered me.-

The ability worked exactly like the name suggested and allowed me to manipulate the very earth around me much the same way a rock or ground type would. Much like water and plant manipulation abilities it wasn't an new ability in the world and had known users currently but it was rather rare. The ability was almost as in high demand as the plant manipulation ability but for an entirely different reason. Earth manipulation was highly prized for it's artistic and construction uses. Earth manipulators were almost always unrivaled sculptures and architects as they could use their abilities to do things simply next to impossible for other none ability users.-

Annoyingly I honestly had no real need for the ability as I had Gaia for my earthly needs and as a pokemon she was naturally much better at it than I was. Still I wasn't going to complain about something that gave me even more options in any given circumstance. The biggest gain in my opinion was the amount of aura I now had that was burning within me like a medium size campfire on the verge of being upgraded to a bonfire.-

It was hard to describe the sort of feeling that holding such power gave but I didn't allow it to get to my head. I may now match a mature pokemon in existential weight but only the lowest level of what a pokemon might achieve. I was far away from matching even an Ace in a one on one much less the likes of a godly legendary. I was allowed some pride but arrogance was not yet something I could claim safely. I didn't dwell on my new state for long as I still had the pressing matter of this mutant Celebi to settle and my arrival in Jubilife would no doubt prove eventful.-

As it turned out I couldn't have been more right as while i approached the city of modern tall skyscrapers and metal walls to protect from pokemon attacks I was met with a rather important face, It was an older white hair man with a briefcase and trench coat and thick mustache and sideburns. "Professor Rowan, what a surprise! I hadn't expected that you'd be the first face I'd see as I reached Jubilife." I said with a smile as the man approached me.-

"Alexander Drake, I've been waiting for you ever since I learnt of your clash with Galactic." Rowan said seriously. I raise an eyebrow at this and he turns around "Walk with me a moment and I'll explain." he said and I matched my pace with his as we walked into the city proper. Jubilife was both one of the oldest cities in Sinnoh and also one of the most modern as well looking almost like a pokemon themed New York to me. People and smaller pokemon walked the streets and the buildings gleamed as they towered overhead.-

"Things have recently gotten quite bad here in Sinnoh because of the emergence of team Galactic in the past few years. At first I and the rest of the league thought them a harmless group based on the ancient group that helped unify the region long long ago. Unfortunately we were wrong. It was slow at first but the members of the team started to perform more and more concerning acts of crime. Stealing of research, money, resources, technology and even information on the ancient legends of Sinnoh that are all but forgotten these days. They rarely made any actions beyond the occasional nuisance level incident but I fear their goals are far greater than they let on." he said seriously.-

"About that, I may have a bit of information to paint a clearer picture but I warn you, it's going to alarm you." I said seriously. His face turned grave and he motioned me to continue. "On the way to this city I was attacked by a very unusual pokemon, a Celebi of clearly mutant nature. I can not say for certain but I am willing to bet my arm that it was created by Galactic in an attempt to control or manipulate time. On a related note I have been debating with myself as to what to do with said Celebi." I said honestly.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Of course! It all makes sense now! The few members of the group we have managed to capture all claim that their leader seeks to build a better world but until now we couldn't understand how that fit into the crimes they commit but now it all fits! They intend to use time to alter the world to their liking!" he said in horrified understand.
